Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
The opportunity provided here is for you, your chance to look for yourself and see what you find. I would encourage you to allow words to be words, merely pointers. There is no truth in words. This is your process. If you want tips on looking, many are offered here. No one is bestowing any gifts or ...

Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
Once you, or anyone, have seen that there is no you, the beliefs of "someone" doing or knowing or choosing has no place to grab onto. There is no longer a "you" responsible for all the thoughts, actions and emotions. There's no one found when looked for. There is no identification with body/mind ...

Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
What comes up when I tell you that you do not exist?
What is watching this drama of "once I could see and now I don't?"

Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
Thank you for your answers. So, you have seen that you are not the body/mind/senses, and now you are personally identifying with them again. You are believing yourself to be the body/mind/senses. Is this correct?

Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
I would like you to answer two questions for me. First, can you describe, in any way, what this temporary "seeing" is that you speak of? And second, who do you take yourself to be as you use the word "I"?

Re: Glimpses That Do Not Hold
Hello Now,
Liberation here is what comes from the seeing of no self. What does this word "liberation" mean to you? What do you expect here?
Regards, Jimmy

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
There is a feeling of lightness created by the absence of drama. Once thoughts are no longer identified with, they simply rise and fall with no attachment. There’s also an emptiness which is a continual surprise. Without an agenda or plan, there is a curiosity, a wondering if anything will ever be ...

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
Thanks, Elena. I wish you and yours the best.
O.K. "Do you exist?" No. It's strange to have that question asked and then to answer it with no "one" existing. The previous post on "I" seems to contain most of the answer. What enables "us" to ask and answer these questions? Mind. This is what mind ...

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
“I” is the word which is used to refer to a “sense” of self which seems to be experiencing life as a separate entity. “I” personalizes life experience. Once this “idea” is believed, it is self-reinforcing. “We” live “our” life from that perspective of being a someone. Because we never question this ...

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
Elena, this is different. There is an emptiness that is new. Thoughts arise but there is nothing for them to cling to. They slide away almost as fast as they arise. There is no identification with any of them. I'd like a day to be with this and then report back to you.

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
you can't see either self or no self. Both are concept in the head.
“I” can’t see anything because there is no “I”. It’s right here, in this comment. Both are a concept in the head, neither are real. “I” will never see because there is no “I” to see. I will never, ever see anything because there ...

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
Having lunch, I watch the sense of self determining how large a bite to take. Bite after bite. Then, I’m looking outside and the sense of self arises as a thought to report that “I’m” looking outside. Then, thought arises that “I” haven’t been monitoring the bite size, and yet “eating” continues ...

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
There it is, in my last post, all over the place.
“I’m” lost. “I” do not get this. “I’m” going back, . . . “It” felt so much closer. “I,” “I,” “I” followed by an “it.” That’s great! Who is this “I” and what is this “it”? Those two questions, when asked, immediately create a silence. No one steps up ...

I'm lost. I do not get this. I'm going back to the beginning of our thread and start over. It felt so much closer then.

Re: Say "I". What does that point to?
I know what you are saying, but there is no inherent truth to any of those words. They all point. There are three legged tables and four legged tables and a board on the floor which I eat off is also a table. What is table? The word has no inherent truth. There is no table contained within a table ...
