Re: Where do I go from here?
Does the sense of self have a location?
It has a fuzzy location from face to the chest area. But when examined it's not there.
Does the sense of self have a shape or a size?
No

Re: Where do I go from here?
Just to make sure, when you say "sense of self" did you mean the separate sense that you're in your head standing apart from others or the general sense of beingness/awareness?

Re: Where do I go from here?
Hi Stacy,
Thanks for the meeting info.
Stories and doubts are getting in the way of seeing the reality for sure. It's not that I refuse to see them as they are but sometimes it's hard to sort out what's real and what's thought.
That is why I need your help.
Yong

Does the sense of self have a location?
There is no specific location and it seems to be everywhere. But it feels centered around the body.
Does the sense of self have a shape or a size?

Re: Where do I go from here?
Hi Stacy,
Can you say 100% there is no separate "self? "
Logically yes, but not experientially 100% sure with conviction.
When taken apart these are the observations:
Bodily sensation: There's just a cloud of sensation. No boundaries. No distance. It's all occurring in consciousness.
Sound ...

Re: Where do I go from here?
Can it be known how tall the body is? Does the body have a weight or volume? In the actual experience does the body have a shape or a form?
No the concept of height doesn’t correspond to any sensation. No the body feels amorphous. No weight or volume. There doesn’t seem to be any distance to the ...

Re: Where do I go from here?
Yes, that is true.Is it accurate to say one way of looking takes you to "nothing." And the other way of looking takes you to "everything? "
Today the body feels permeable, almost transparent.

Re: Where do I go from here?
What would "feel it to the bone" be like?
That's a good question. To have some kind of shift in perception. To feel oneness?
There's some kind of dissonance/confusion here:
When I look for "me" there's a flash of the word me in the chest. It's just a label and clearly there is nothing there.

Re: Where do I go from here?
In the morning I meditate for an hour. During the day and night I ask "Where am I" and look and see that there's only open space/awareness. While walking the dogs. While driving. At work try to take a break and ask the question. At night I work on the audio meditations/practice you sent. Some time ...

I can see that there's is no separate I. But I can't feel it to the bone yet. What am I doing wrong?
