I know mental chatter is part of DE but I forget - it tends to feel "unwelcome".Is the overlay of mental chatter in your immediate experience, are you not experiencing it? Are you expecting mental chatter to disappear? Why would it?
I believe the awareness to be everything, all encompassing, omnipresent, including even thought. If I was to do this exercise again, the DE of the cup for 10 minutes would include seeing it's shape, it's colour, experiencing any thoughts that arise, hearing all sounds that come and go.And as we have also done before, where is this awareness, is it hiding in your senses, does it bounce around from hearing the tweeting birds to seeing the cup, to internal dialogue saying this is boring, or perhaps this awareness is hiding in stillness? Doesn’t all of this exist without thought giving it labels? Isn’t all of this experiencing including thought?
But how does all this help me see through the I illusion? To drop the sticky thought that Stacy is a Me in this body?
