Re: A curious practitioner
Here you go. You answers will be shared with other guides, who may have questions.
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?

No, there is no separate entity at all, in any way shape or form. There never was.1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
The illusion of separate self is like an overlay of secondary consciousness that is happening in primary consciousness, awareness. Like a whirlpooling in water, the gravity of the whirlpool makes the illusion of separate self as it locks the consciousness into a evolving feedback loop. We are born without the illusion of separate self, but living in this world we develop this habit, starting when we are 2-3 years old.2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
It feels expansive and relaxing to see this. The difference is in the lightness of my being, not being locked in an illusion of separate self that is in control. When "I" see that "I" am not in control, that decisions are just happening depending on conditions, tightness and contraction in body is transformed into looseness and relaxedness.3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
Exercise about turning my hand and looking that there is no decision made to turn it, it just happens on its own. Also watching videos of self-inquiry youtube where Ilona Ciunaite goes through the the same process with someone.4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
Decision happens on its own, depending on the circumstances. When I was doing the hand turning exercise and observing where does the decision originates, I could not find it. It happens the same way a flower blossoms, when certain conditions are met. I signed up for this guided pointing out, was talking to a guide and was given an exercise - these were the conditions needed to make the hand turning happen on its own.5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Intention is like a program/gravity that has charge, that influences the conditions that determines which thoughts manifests. Everything is co-dependent origination and intention is something that adds gravity. For example I intent to be kind and not only think about myself selflessly - I experience this world with the added charge of the intention influencing the conditions that determine what thoughts manifest.Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Not sure about this, as everything is happening depending on conditions, there is no free will. When I am having a dream that is a project of my subconscious mind, I have no control over it and same goes for waking life.Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Choice is a co-dependent origination of conditions. Choosing to look out the window when typing this - decision that just happened on its own, as certain conditions were met.Describe choice & give examples from experience.
There is no control, we are shown a movie - everything is just happening, just as it is. Control only seems to manifest within the secondary consciousness, a whirlpooling, when we are identified with the illusion of there being a separate self. For example the need for the separate identity illusion to keep its whirlpool going, projects control upon what is happening.Describe control & give examples from experience.
Things happen on its own, a co-dependent origination with the conditions that are met. What makes things happen? How does it work?
There is no separate entity, so there is nothing that can be responsible. What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
Not at the moment, this was quite a handful. Maybe later I feel like adding something6) Anything to add?
Thank you very much :) It was very helpful

Where do you find this in Direct Experience? or do you?
Loving,
What is this thought story of "gravity?"ntention is like a program/gravity that has charge, that influences the conditions that determines which thoughts manifests.

Many hours after I replied I realized that intention is also just a thought, it having gravity is story woven together by many thoughts. What is this thought story of "gravity?"
It can not be found in direct experienceWhere do you find this in Direct Experience? or do you?

Re: A curious practitioner
Hi,
Another guide has several questions.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what they mean when they say the following:
1
3) Everything is co-dependent origination and intention is something that adds gravity. For example I intent to be kind and not only think about myself selflessly - I experience this world with the added charge of the intention influencing the conditions that determine what thoughts manifest.
- I don't get the first sentence - sounds like meaningless word salad to me
- and what do thoughts manifest, if I may ask?
- ???
Generally, can you ask for all the above to be reformulated in their own words so that someone unfamiliar with traditions and teachings that they seem to be familiar with can understand too?
I nearly asked some of this myself, but I am familiar with some of the Buddhist concepts, so I didn't.

Another guide has this question:
I have one that jumps out at me:
Loving,
I have one that jumps out at me:
Who is having the dream, whose mind is it, who has no control over it?"Not sure about this, as everything is happening depending on conditions, there is no free will. When I am having a dream that is a project of my subconscious mind, I have no control over it and same goes for waking life."

Re: A curious practitioner
I was trying to explain the illusion of separate self how it came up spontaneously. In other words, illusion of separate self is a thought story, an overlay (or the illusion of it) on top of direct experience. Thoughts create more thoughts and they are woven together making a loop of thoughts that preserves the illusion of separate self. What is this thing about two types of consciousness?? Or consciousness being locked in a feedback loop???
"How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days." This was the question so my answer was that I feel more light/expansive compared to way I felt before. The way I felt was more dense/contracted before. What the heck is "my being"?
Yes, I got tangled up in thought story there. Intention is just a thought and it can not be found in direct experience.- I don't get the first sentence - sounds like meaningless word salad to me
Did not mean that thoughts manifest, what I ment was that conditions determine which thoughts manifest, spontaneously arise.- and what do thoughts manifest, if I may ask?
Illusion of control is a story of thoughts, it cannot be found in direct experience.4) Control only seems to manifest within the secondary consciousness, a whirlpooling, when we are identified with the illusion of there being a separate self. - ???
There is no-one having the dream, there is nobody/no thing who`s mind is it, there is no entity to have control over it.Who is having the dream, whose mind is it, who has no control over it?
This was a good question :)
Hope this clears things a bit-
