And are YOU really the thought or the memory (image) of ‘you’?
No, this image changes.
The word ‘I’ appears three times here… what do you mean by that word? What does it refer to for you?
the place where the action takes place, the address.
Who is the actor, the teller, the knower? Is there one?
There is someone. It always has been. Everything I did, I did.

Are you certain? How do you know? Is there any sign of ‘doing’ in addition to whatever is happening?

When I look at it, I label the feelings as "yes, I do it". If it is done with enthusiasm, I say "I am doing it". If it is forced, I call it "I do it by force".

Is “I do it” anything more than a label?

In the actual moment of action, is there a separate ‘you’ there doing it? Or does that ‘you’ only come after the fact, retrospectively?

When you look at the word label ‘GREEN’, what is the actual experience?

Is the colour red ‘experienced’, or is the colour green ‘experienced’ as the label suggests?

Yes, it's a tag added after the fact. When I look at it, I think I'm not doing anything, actually I'm affected by something. It could be a person or it could be inspiration. These external influences direct my behavior and change me from mood to state.

An idea as a green label.

Is “These external influences direct my behavior and change me from mood to state.” not also a ‘tag’ added after the fact?

What can you know purely from the fact?

So I can know the desires and tendencies that arise within me right now.

Let’s go into it more; and how do these desires and tendencies appear right now? What form do they take? What are there components in terms of direct experience?

It appears as feelings in certain parts of the body as a true experience. For example, I call them emotions that occur more in my stomach or chest.

Do feelings happen in parts of the body? Do you know where feelings appear when they are actually happening, or only afterward, as an image or word?

Direct experience only takes place now.

I'm sure it occurred in my chest and I feel it there now. Definitely not on your arm, for example. emotion is a label but there is a feeling there.

Close your eyes.

Can you still feel the feeling?

If so, does the feeling occur in your chest?

What is ‘chest’ in addition to the feeling?

Is it a word, or perhaps an image?

If it is an image, then isn’t it a memory, since you can’t see your chest right now?

In fact, this feeling occurs in space, but an image is formed in the mind and helps us determine a point where this feeling occurs. Just like determining the location of an event occurring on earth with the help of maps. When a thorn pricks our foot while our eyes are closed, we open our eyes and hold our foot directly and feel the prick there. But at the same time, an image of a foot may come to mind. This image is not a real image. But feeling pricked by thorns is real.

Sorry for the slow reply, I missed the notification of your response.

Yes, that is exactly right. Feeling happens in space, and is imagined in a foot. The feeling may correlate with the sight of a foot, but that doesn’t mean it happens in the foot… right?

Is this space bound at all, in your experience? Does it have a centre, or a periphery?

No problem.

I can feel where the feeling is in 3D space. It is like a vague cloud that has no center or boundaries.
