For Piers to exist there needs to be a separation between "Piers" and "not Piers", or in another way, "Piers" and "World", or in another way "subject" and "object".
What happens when you look for Piers? Can you find such a thing outside of mental abstraction?
What happens when you look for World? Can you find such a thing outside of mental abstraction?
What happens when you look for separation? Can you find such a thing outside of mental abstraction?
he has 'a life' and must seek for happiness within it
What can Piers own? Is there a choice about Piers having "a life"? Or is it just life...."living" a Piers?
Did Piers create his "life"?
Did Piers create his "body"? What about his thoughts, feelings and perceptions? Or is it that these things exist just as life wants them - and Piers is the mirage that claims ownership until examined?
Look at this carefully and deeply. Is Piers really an object? Or is Piers really a process inseparable from the totality?
