I understand that the sense of an I is mind created. Does that feeling never go away?

Let's stay focused on not finding you...
The body, mind, brain, emotions and sense of I are not you. Where is the part that can be shown to be andrew?
Where are you??
If you cannot be found, write about it in your response.

andrew where did you go?
Re: Andrew, lets get going
Sorry that was good question and I had to figure out how to answer.
There is no "I" that can be pointed to. I look, but no "I" can be found. There is a strong sense of self and a huge ego. However, neither of those are really me. The I doesn't exist in there. They are just mind created saying, that I did a good job or claiming ownership of something. Even when I say "I look" the "I" does not exist there. It is just the mind looking at itself.

Re: Andrew, lets get going
Can you describe what the "self"/ "i" is, now that you see what you are not?
Re: Andrew, lets get going
They are an illusion created by the mind. The "I" is just the mind labeling thing that are done. Claiming ownership for the ego/self. Which are just illusions created by mind as well. Which gives rise to feeling good or any other emotion. Probably based on how I was raised and social conditioning.

Re: Andrew, lets get going
so anything else lingering that is you? Or are you gone?
Re: Andrew, lets get going
The sense of self and ego still linger, but they are recognized as mind created. So yea for the most part I am gone.

Re: Andrew, lets get going
andrew the sense of self/ ego will continue to exist as it has a function. It will not evaporate. It is only a sense in the mind and created by the mind. Is this clearer?
Re: Andrew, lets get going
Yes that is clear. Initially I thought that it would not be here any longer, but I get that it will not.
Re: Andrew, lets get going
To be clear I get that it will stay. Also that it is mind created, but it is not the self. That the self does not exist and never really did.

Re: Andrew, lets get going
ok. Just this part to do and that should be it.
What is the self, how does it work?
How would you explain "no self" to somebody who had never heard of it?

Re: Andrew, lets get going
The self is just a mind created feeling. Used to label actions, such as I ran up the stairs. It is also use to recognize emotion. Such as it depresses me to run up the stairs.
How I would explain no self to someone. I would take something like running upstairs, and point out that it is just an action. There was no "I" involved. I would point out that emotions are just felt. That there is no "I" involved. Than I would ask them to try and find an I in those action or anywhere else.
