Good Evening James,
I was following the pointer of RELAX for the past days. Usually, it turned out that there was some tension in my body, my shoulders a bit lifted, my jaw a bit clenched or my forehead wrinkled etc. Some of the times it was very difficult to stay relaxed for more than a few ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
Yes I'm glad I joined last night.
The distinction between consequences of my actions (cause&effect) and responsibility became quite clear to me. And the connection of responsibility to morality really helped to see a reason to why responsibility had a different feel for me than e.g ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
I will check the meeting out on Sunday then, should be 10pm for me I think.
It's coming to terms with the consequences of what this really means that is the next step.
Yes, I agree. And one of these consequences is the dissolution of this usually felt responsibility in the ultimate ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
Thank you for the link, is it daily?
How real does this all feel?
It does feel pretty real. I think some of these insights I already had on an intellectual level before and then they seemed far away in a sense.
Now whenever the thought arises: what is there that is e.g. sitting, it has ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
I resonate with the depiction of the layers you posted.
The added layers of thought, of then identifying with what is happening, the content of thoughts, the sensory input. These extra added layers grasp at what appears, what's there and then there's this 'this is me, mine, not me ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Good evening James,
now it's coming to the realisation of what this truly means.
I think I get what you mean. (Writing I think I... seems a bit misplaced whenever I use it, yet its practical) There isn't really an I which is thinking or doing things, therefore there is not an I, that is ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
sorry yesterday I lacked the headspace to reply.
I realize, that responsibility in general a big topic is in my life, something where I am doing a lot of self-ing.
So what is it that takes responsibility?
I don't know. If I really look at what is there that takes responsibility, I get ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
so youre saying that what I wrote about no self, and about responsibility clashes.
I don't necessarily see a paradox here. I think responsibility can exist without a separate self existing.
Even though there is not really a ME controlling things, whatever comes out is still something we ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James
Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form?
Was there ever?
No there isn't a separate, isolated, solid self existing. There is awareness, experience or whatever word can be used to describe the subjective living sensation of experiencing life ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
where is the narrative coming from?
I think, as alluded to in the video, the narratives might have had some sort of survival purpose for us human beings, so they have been passed down by generations. They are constructed by societal, and cultural norms. Sometimes also due to one's own ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
Yes, I think you nicely captured it!
I do feel that these things (self, time, locus of control..) are there but not real, I can see that it's a narrative. It still exists but not really it's a front (like an illusion). So I can see through them again and again without them disappearing ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Hi James,
Focussing on the present moment, how long or short is it for you?
When I am in the present moment, it feels endless, like this is all there is. When I try to think about how long it is and look back on how long it was, it seems like just a mere millisecond. It's like pearls on an ...

Re: Cutting through the veil
Good evening James,
Is this 'everything and nothing' actually in control or could it be an illusion or a delusion?
I am not sure if it is in control, Ive been struggling to try to find it out, struggling to find a good way to find it out. Its not easy to observe this somehow. But yes, it could ...
