Re: Trackless Bird
1) Was ‘me’/‘myself’ ever a living being that moves, speaks or thinks?
I can’t say that it was. The residue of that belief still pops up, but the moment I look for it, it’s gone, and the awareness of no-self comes back into the foreground.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of ‘me ...

I've loosened my grip.Ok, so, where once 'Skye' ruled the roost, share with me what happens now.
Nothing to prove, no stake in what happens, yet I'm making decisions. Odd.
Things take care of themselves, while I enjoy the show. It's like reading a good book.

Re: Trackless Bird
I tried, but I can't observe that no-one. It's as if there is a borderless hole that I can't get behind to take a look.Movement is observed. So, you can talk of movement.
Is no-one observed? Can absence be observed?
Thanks.

Re: Trackless Bird
Take the movement of a hand.
What can you say about it?
Today, unpacking from a holiday, my hands were a blur, undirected, darting about like an insect. This goes here, that goes there, this gets washed, this goes in the trash, but no one was telling the fingers to squeeze, the palm to cup or the ...

What? I'm not cooked yet? :)Not so fast Batman. :)
Tie my shoes. Call my Dad. Make a grocery list. Take the car in for repairs. Hear the crickets. Are you a notion?
Describe something you can do that a notion 'you' can't?
Thank you, John.

Re: Trackless Bird
Can a dropped 'me' be in control?
Does that make any real sense?
Obviously not. On one hand this is a huge relief, but on the other there is the question-what now?
If there's no control, then there's nothing to accomplish, there's nothing to do.
I should be complete, but I have to say that I ...

Re: Trackless Bird
Play with perception. For example, look around the room. What you're seeing is a perception of the room. Which I'm sure is well-decorated. Now, this is a kind of spontaneous meditation, but play with retreating from the perception, withdrawing intent to stick to that perception. Keep retreating ...

Re: Trackless Bird
Shall we carry on and explore for a bit?
Yes, I would like that.
Several things I'm noticing.
Life seems to be easier. I am less worried about outcomes, and there seems to be more space for just living. It's becoming easier to love people.

Re: Trackless Bird
Good morning, John.
Things have settled down a bit. Back to the day-to-day. Trying to stay open and relaxed.
Nothing new has happened, other than a slightly increased dream-like quality to things, and discovering myself as more of a part of the dream than as its driver.
I didn't expect to see ...

Re: Trackless Bird
You can indeed say it has been seen through.
It's the start of a new chapter, a new adventure. :)
You know what, its damn exciting to see. And so, my suggestion is to relax, and yet be alert, to the experience of being. Being around nature can be a good place to spend time with this new lightness ...

Re: Trackless Bird
Good morning John,
Hope you're well!
An update.
I continued the work since we last spoke, and it had gotten more and more urgent. Then last Wednesday night I unexpectedly had a definitive experience of no-self. It was completely unlike what I had experienced in January, or that one time I ...
