Re: no stone unturned

It's like when I have that moment where "I" is pointing to anything then something inside of me goes "Well then what?" and I get stuck or lose the thought momentum altogether.

So if "I" is not pointing to anything, what is it then that gets stuck? I find it important to come up with a clear and ...

Re: no stone unturned

Welcome back humbled. I think you have been doing great actually! You have verified yourself that feeling, experiencing something and labeling it are two separate things and labeling happens only when the basis of experiencing is there (otherwise, what would you label?).

This is an important step ...

Re: no stone unturned

Hello humbled, how are you doing? Are you stuck at anything, do you have any questions? Would you like to post some feedback on what you have been doing and what the results are?

Re: no stone unturned

Great to hear that! Just be aware, we are trying to understand the difference between actual experience and interpretation of it. We are trying to see the separation or gap between the two.

Once that has been seen, the actual experience becomes accessible all the time and interpretation is not ...

Re: no stone unturned

I've delayed since my last post as I've been trying to work through this.

It is good to see you are putting effort behind this. Determination to see through the illusion is the most important factor, it guarantees your success in the long run.

It would be best if you post something each day or ...

Re: River

Hello Astrid-Eve,

I can help you to look deeper into this matter of no-self. We can perform an inquiry together and see what we find out. Please do put all your attention into this though. So if you are reading any books on this matter, or watching satsang videos on the web, please put them down ...

Re: no stone unturned

This is honestly where I struggle the most. I struggle with separating what I've read or come to know vs. what I actually feel

This is very important, we have to be able to separate the actual experience from thoughts about it. Otherwise, we cannot come back to looking at the experience as it ...

Re: no stone unturned

On the one hand we have a statement that just might be confused with post-realization talk:

Is "I" like the weather? Maybe in that it is dependant on the conditions describing it but itself is not really a thing. Or more so it needs feedback or thought focus otherwise "I" doesn't seem to be.

But ...

Re: no stone unturned

"I" changes depending on physical feedback or thought focus.

That is the important part. How is it possible to know this?
Now if the weather changes, it is possible to know that because of 2 factors: 1. Weather is perceived. 2. There is memory of past perceptions. Is it the same with the "I ...

Re: no stone unturned

Very good humbled!

You have mentioned, that you believe in a certain analogy, about how individuals of self grow from a single planar surface. This is a nice metaphor.

As you noticed, it is of little use however to speculate about "what it might be like, if everything is supposed to be one". As ...

Re: no stone unturned

Hello humbled,

you have a really mature approach to the topic, that's great! If you want, I will give you input and ideas and most importantly help you with questions and directions on where to look.

But the difficult part is, you have to put down all other reading or satsang videos / audio books ...

Re: Please approve my liberation, or approve my ignorance

No, such a thing never existed in reality, it only seemed so. A false belief in separate self did exist, an actual separate self never existed and such a thing is not possible at all. Where would this hypothetical separate self exist? Wherever it would exist, it would depend on it's surroundings so ...

Re: Please approve my liberation, or approve my ignorance

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

No. Which does not mean, I deny my own existence of course. I deny false views about what it is that exists. One way of putting it could be: the world is within me, while I myself am ...

Re: Please approve my liberation, or approve my ignorance

Yes, I have worked with people before over the Internet and in most cases they could attain at least a glimpse at the facts I was pointing out. In all the cases people thanked me for the hints on "where to look" so to speak.

My experience is, that people are grateful and thank me for helping them ...
