Is awareness 'a thing' that is found or is experienced? Awareness is not a thing, its always there and has never been lost.
We are looking for a separate 'I' in the investigation.
Is there experience with an experiencer, or is there just 'experience'. There is 'experience' and 'that which knows it' - Are they separate? Just experience. no they are not separate, there is only one.

And awareness is also just a word, yes? Yes, but we have to use words to express.
Another question - Would you agree that 'awareness' is a thought appearing about the totality of experience. It is a word that 'points' to that. Yes.

Well, I have been sitting with each question, maybe not going deep enough, I was never able to do self inquiry, it just didn't get any results. I guess I don't know how to do this, please help. Any suggestions?

There is this timeless flow (which includes thoughts about time) it includes all sights and smells and emotions and sensations and well.... Everything.
And every perception happens naturally. You don't have to do anything to make them occur!
(How marvelous is that!)
And every perception is recognized as it appears, also without effort, The knowing of the perception is simultaneous with the perception. They are both spontaneously happening.
In fact, they are like two aspects of the same natural process... Inseparable like heat and fire.... Or water and wetness.... Or light and sun.
And all simply happening without any effort. You don't have to do anything to make it so... There is no separate you that exists outside of this timeless flow of perception. 'You' are merely and wondrously a collection of these perceptions that you have mistaken as separate and permanent...
But when examined .... There is nothing stable and permanent. Nothing separate or apart from this uncapturable ineffable beautiful miracle we call life...

It seems we start as the wow, but through our caretakers we succumb to the ultimate hoax of being separate. 'You are this or that person. This sex, these characteristics, etc.'. When we perform as this, our caregivers smile, we enjoy the play we continue. By the time we are taught that this or that thought or emotion is bad or unwanted, we are in full flux of the play. For no reason we have deluded ourselves, but I don't think anyone really believes it completely.
