As Vivi and i have pointed to already a couple of times, you are just not seriously answering the most basic question, viz. "am I the body or the mind or both or neither', i.e. dig deep and honestly and see if you can pinpoint where lobster "The I" is located (e.g. In the heart, in the brain). Only needs a simple answer.
Hi Lars,
You have not asked something that requires a simple answer. 'I' does not have a location, experience or being. There is no location of 'I'.
Do you ever need the character "lobster" to breath, grow your hair and fingernails, digest your food, or do anything for that matter??? Who is in control? "I"?
There is no control. The processes you describe take care of themself.
No matter how many guides you will get, YOU must answer this once and for all.....nobody else can do this for you!
What is unclear to you?
Have the courage to take off the mask ("persona") and tell me who or what's there!
That has been done. What is unclear?

Many thanks

For 2013 my New Year Resolution is to 'wake up'. Hope that is possible. Many thanks to those offering help.

What do you mean by 'wake up'?

LU Forum is the place for seeing there is no 'I'. Seems you know that?

Do you think anyone can wake you up?

Greetings Vivi

What do you mean by 'wake up'?
Hi Dreamer,
What part of my previous answer is unclear?
Do you think anyone can wake you up?
Only 'I' can experience awakening. If you mean are you, Lars or others here able to guide me into this, that remains to be seen . . .

Many thanks for your time,
Lobster

Enter into this process if you are ready and willing to question all your beliefs and assumptions about awakening, if you are ready to face your fears, and if you prefer truth to comfortable lies. Do not enter if your goal is to fix the parts of your life that you think are broken, to embark on a self-improvement project, or to gain some kind of spiritual certification. Spiritual tourists will be taken to the airlock and launched into deep space.

Hi Lobster

You are already awake.

Nothing in your answers are unclear.
No one is here to care about clear or unclear answers.

Questions are offered to look into.
If looking into offered questions doesn't happen, that's fine.

What do you mean by 'being awake'?

Greetings Vivi

Hi Lobster

There is no one there to wake up.
That is what I mean.

The deal was, guides asks questions and you answer. Since you seem to either not want to answer, or not are able to answer, relatively simple, but essential questions like 'What do you mean by being awake?' I can not be your guide any longer. I wish you all the best.

Good bye
Vivi

Hi Vivi
It is a meaningless platitude and does not describe my experience.
The deal was, guides asks questions and you answer.
Sometimes a question is an answer . . .
My apologies if I have broken a deal I was unaware of. I made it quite clear that I did not agree to the 'agreement' as it was within my first 3 posts. What part was unclear?

Essential to whom? I have answered your questions in the best way I am aware of.

I made this statement within my first few posts
As I consider myself asleep, not in a condition of awareness, I would like like to change this.
What part is unclear?

Many thanks Vivi
And Goodbye

Lobster,
All you need is in what Vivi and i were pointing at....you don't need to leave home to come home.
Good-bye and many thanks.

Hi Lobster,

That's great, let's start. In fact let's make a fresh start. Go back to the 'Agreement' Lars posted earlier. Setting aside the 110% instead of 100% reference, can you tell me which if any other parts of you you disagree with and why.

From looking at this site how familiar do you feel you are with the aim: to use direct pointing to help people to ‘awaken’? Can you describe the difference between this approach and having a discussion about 'awakening' to me?

What do you see as the difference between reporting direct experience and just saying what you think?

When you answer please try and write as fully as possible - a paragraph where possible. Many thanks,

Andrew

. . . can you tell me which if any other parts of you you disagree with and why.
Hi Andrew,
I agree with the intent and general direction. However a degree of flexibility is always welcome. If guides can only operate under such a structure, they might examine why. I am happy to answer questions or ignore them, just as guides do when it suits. This is to do with mutual respect.

I am familiar with your approach, recommended videos and several web pages. A discussion is an exchange of opinions. The assumption is that guides are free of a personal sense of 'I', or realise it as non existent. They believe this condition can be facilitated in others by questing their sense of identification with their personal ideas and other senses associated with a 'self'.
What do you see as the difference between reporting direct experience and just saying what you think?
Experiencing things directly and not filtering them through a persona, gives a more direct, intuitive, gestalt expression. It is the same as saying what you think, without the usual egocentric concerns and considerations.

many thanks for your attention
lobster
