LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
From my being a student of Mahayana Buddhist teachings , only what is truly permanent exist , the I that we experience is a label for a collection of parts Minds and body that we identify as ourselves, this does make complete sense to me but I have still not let go of the non existent I and have found your group thru reading the gateless gatecrashe
What are you looking for at LU?
I would like to release my identification with this false I that I hold on too , and see thru the veil of illusions and continue on the path towards enlightenment, I feel this is why I found your group
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
I look to find clarity and finally move past my identification with the me who I grasp at and attached too , this is what I truly long for and am determined to realize this type of clarity, looking forward to your help
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I have been a long time student of Buddhist and other spiritual practices and have found much peace in my life , but I realize that the non existent I is the most important clarity to have
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 10
