LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
I have been studying on this subject for last 6 month, While intellectually I can fully understand that there is no inherent self, “ I” or maybe name it “Ego” , but living this fact on everyday life and day to day actions and encounters needs mastery and thats why I am here to learn how to dettach from self grasping and connect to ultimate reality.
What are you looking for at LU?
I suffered from treatment resistant depression for 25 years while I was hiding it from all my closed friends and relatives and family and lead my life on medications that were only partially effective with lots of ups and downs and struggles. Until in darkest moments of my life I accidently read some quotes from Buddha that resonated a lot to me . Then I started everyday studying about Buddhism, everyday Buddhist Meditation in Samathha and Vipassyana style, followed by Dzogchen philosophy and Dzogchen style of Meditation. Today it has been at least 5 month that I am in remission from Depression and 6 month of being free from anti-depressants without experiencing any withdrawal symptoms! It has been 6 month that I have not passed even one day without meditation. While I am proud of the progress which seemed impossible for 25 years , but I can still see the role of self grasping, self centeredness and being attached to my self entity, to my “ I “ , to my Ego, is causing discomfort , agitation, mild behavioural issues here and there, it is like an underlying , fundamental problem that is constantly trying to sabotage the constant , everyday efforts that I am putting in my meditations and studdings to slow down my progress. I am looking for a guide to help me to locate my delusional “ I “, to give me practical guidance to recognise it and drop it on my day to day life , this will accelerate achieving enlightenment while I am working on my consciousness and meditations.
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
To help me to locate my ego, to destroy my deluded vision of self, vision of “ I”, to give me direct advise and practical tips to consciously recognise this delusion and drop it on my day to day life.
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
As I have mentioned , for last 6 month , I have been meditating, as an average 2 hours a day ( usually 2 sessions of ONE hour) and some times three sessions if I have the chance. Studying mainly Buddhist literature from Theravada to Mahayana and Vajrayana and Dzogchen. Have done two on line courses about Meditation and Buddhism and done a calm abiding meditation retreat. Them more I work on my mind , the more I realise the importance of destroying the self, the “ I “
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 11

Re: LightSeeker
You can't "destroy" something that doesn't existdestroying the self, the “ I “
There's no "self." All you need to do is look (yes with your eyes) and see that.

My name is Stacy and I can be your guide, if you would like.
One thing that is helpful is to come to this forum
& post every day. Sometimes the site goes down. It will be back. Just come back later.
Yes, if once in a while you must post later, please post a note telling me when you will return.
If you haven't already read the disclaimer, please read it now and just confirm to me that you have read it. Here is the link.
http://liberationunleashed.com/disclaimer-2/
Also please read “Liberation Unleashed is not …” in the FAQ’s of LU. Here is the link.

Some housekeeping guidelines:
1. Post at least once a day, or every second day. If you need more time, or are unable to post for several days, just write a quick post on your thread to let me know please.
2. There is no one judging answers given, so please be 100% honest in your answers and inquiry.
3. This exploration is based on actual experience (AE) - smell, taste, sound, sensation, color and observed thoughts. Long-winded analytical and philosophical answers are best avoided and may even hinder progress. This is not a self-improvement process. There is no ‘self’ to improve.
4. Put aside all other teachings, philosophies, rituals, practices, books/reading and so on for the remainder of this investigation. Really put all your effort and attention in to seeing this reality, as it is. If you have a daily meditation practice, it is fine to continue that but is not necessary for this exploration.
Technology is not perfect and sometimes there is a glitch which can wipe out your responses. It is advisable that you copy and paste questions asked into Word, answer them there and then copy and paste them to your thread. Always save a copy of what you have done, it will save time in the long run!
To begin with, so that we both become aware of what your expectations are about this exploration. In your own words (not from actual experience, but just honest answers), could you please answer the 4 following questions:
How will life change?
How will you change?
What will be different?
What is missing?
Throughout this exploration I would like you to answer all questions that I have written in blue text. Please answer all questions even if I miss using the blue text.
Please answer questions individually, remembering to use the quote function to highlight the question being answered.
Below is a link to the video with instructions on using the Quote Function. Please watch it. Use the PREVIEW button to make sure your text looks right before you hit "SUBMIT."

What would you like for me to call you? What time zone are you in, please?
Loving,

Hi Stacey, Thank you and it is a pleasure. It would be possible to check and post and reply everyday or at least every second day. Delay in response was due to registration approval email which was gone into junk folder. My name is Stacy and I can be your guide, if you would like.

When there is no self, there is no Ego, Person performs as a conscious entity in a moving life , experiences ( emotions, perceptions, thoughts that arise following perceptions, thoughts that arise before or after any emotion which can lead to more thoughts and feed more emotions and feelings and assumptions … that I call them all mental experiences ) still happen as life moves forward but without having any substantial destructive/negative impact or causing over excitement impact on the observer, on that conscious observer who Has realized there is no Self, there is no personal entity owning thoughts , owning perceptions and feelings. The conscious observer lives a life that contains a spectrum of positive and negative or neutral incidents without being affected by them, when there is no “me”, there is no sufferer, there is pain, there is gain, there is sad and happy incidents but there is no one to own them , to get damaged, affected, or get overly excited by them. Life would have a gentle, balanced and smooth movement naturally. This is what It would possibly feel, assuming that the non existence of Self entity has been proven to observer by experience and not just intellectually and in theory. The theory makes sense and seems to be very true , the hard part is to experience and make it a simple da t of life…where is that experience? How will life change?

I had a tough 25 years of depression , for last 6 month with Buddhist studying and Buddhist style meditation which actually was involved a lot with self existence enquiry, insight meditations on effect of self grasping on mental afflictions and emptiness of thoughts and mind…an impossible thing according to all my doctors happened and I have been on remission. But these enquiries brings more questions and deeper concerns , there is no depression but you clearly know that still you get affected by thoughts and feelings and having bad days and every now and then will see the prove that you are not still grounded and awakened, still confused , seeking the reality of life, this itself can be frustrating and take lot of time to study, speculate, meditate …etc( but honestly now I crave for meditation and joyfully do it in any opportunity , but still is very visible the soul, the heart , is not calm, not settled), if I practically see the unseen, experience the fact that there is no “me” , drop the “ I “ and set the consciousness free, I will settle down and these residues that still affecting me will go away. A free living, conscious being. How will you change?

Training, learning a practical tool to take the intellectual acceptance of the fact that there is no self to an experience, to be able to prove it, see it, observe it! To be able to maintain it on day to day life experiences and encounters. What is missing?

Hi
I can't read your blue text. Blue is not for your use. I use it for questions. Re-read the instructions, if need be.
The first ones were correct & legible.
Please change the blue text to black on white.
