That's OK. You are noticing the lie feeling and that is good
Here is a fun practice. Let's look at this idea of "choice."
Palm Flipping Exercise
1. Hold a hand in front of you; palm turned down.
2. Now turn the palm up. And down...and up and so on.
Watch like a hawk.
Don't go to thoughts – examine your direct experience.
Do this as many times as you like, and each time inquire:
How is the movement controlled?
Does a thought control it?
Can a ‘controller’ of any description be located?
How is the decision made to turn the hand over?
Track any decision point when a thought MADE THE DECISION to turn the hand over and the hand turns over immediately.
Who or what chose which hand - the left or right hand for the exercise?
Can you find a separate individual or anything that is choosing when to turn the palm up or down?
Pay close attention to how it FEELS to see.
Loving,
clarity

There is no direct controlHow is the movement controlled?
no,thought doesntDoes a thought control it?
noCan a ‘controller’ of any description be located?
spontaneous, it seems like its faster than thought and maybe not availabe to thoughtHow is the decision made to turn the hand over?
it was automaticWho or what chose which hand - the left or right hand for the exercise?
No, I do not know exaclty who is choosing to to turn. Can you find a separate individual or anything that is choosing when to turn the palm up or down?
I had this realisation years before, I was wasching the dishes and absolutely freaked out that if I am not controling than my hands could be dangerous to me or to somebody. I am not that scared now, because I got more used to it and the body has relaxed more since than.
Thank you!

Re: clarity
True. Very good.
Can you say 100% that there is no separate "self?" That it is only thoughts, a made- up story?
Much love,

Although I still have strong emotions,is it possible that the belief of I is still playing out?

Re: clarity
Excellent!yes.
Do you try to act on them? To control the uncontrollable?Although I still have strong emotions, is it possible that the belief of I is still playing out?
Some people who have seen there is no "self" continue their work with Ten Fetters (see Wikipedia) or The Work of Byron Katie & other helpful things to undo the beliefs that were based on the false "self" after they finish here. This is just the beginning.
We have some traditional "final" questions. I can offer those or we can do a couple more pointers before doing those.
What would you like to do?

Re: clarity
yes, I panic, act and than pretty soon realize that I was overreacting. But today after I thought of "controling the uncontrolable" I was able not to overcorrect my panic thoughts on mild occation.Do you try to act on them? To control the uncontrollable?
These questions really point on things and bring things to surface, that I have been experiencing but didnt see clearly, so I would like to go on with pointers. What would you like to do?
Thank you, I am getting to know about Fetter work.

Re: clarity
Panic?
These should help with that:
Here is an anxiety exercise that focuses a person in the present, and in a part of the brain that cannot do anxiety. Basically, go through each sense and say (or think) "I see/ hear/ feel/ taste/ touch ______________." A minute or two of each and usually anxiety is gone.
I see the couch.
I see the keyboard.
I see the glass. Etc.
I hear the train.
I hear the keys clacking.
I hear my breath. Etc.
I feel the couch under my butt.
I feel my fingers on the keys.
I feel the cold air. Etc.
I taste a metallic taste in my mouth.
I taste the coffee.
I taste the food. Etc.
I smell the humidity in the air.
I smell my husband's shampoo.
I smell the soap. Etc.
As far as I can tell, the only time this doesn't work is when someone won't do it.

Re: clarity
Like one thought fires up and instantly involves strong reaction.Panic?
Thank you the video was very helpful to go into Sensations in the body that I usually could not on my own.
And because it happens in half a second like paper cut on the finger and immediately passes, I can not practice the noticing practice.
Thank you!

Glad the video helped.

Okay, that works too.
So, what are you still seeking? Help me to find what to point to for you.

Re: clarity
When I am relaxed I can clearly experience that there is no "me", but when I am with other people I still totally get I dentified with the thoughts and emotions. I am trying selfinquiry as often as I remember, but I would like to be clear all the time.what are you still seeking?
Thank you!

Re: clarity
Clarity won't be 24/7. There's likely to.be a "honeymoon period," and then what we call, "got it, lost it," as untrue beliefs come up to be questioned.

Re: clarity
Thank you, I have watched the videos. I guess it takes practice and time further to look into automated beliefs and thoughts. I don’t really have other questions. Thank you for your time🙏

Re: clarity
They're quite welcome. We have some traditional final questions.
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision & give examples from experience.
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Describe free will & give examples from experience.
Describe choice & give examples from experience.
Describe control & give examples from experience.
What makes things happen? How does it work?
What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to add?
Your answers will be shared with other guides who may have questions.
