Beautiful answers. They say the truth will set you free and it really does, doesn't it?
Describe intention & give examples from experience.
Intention to me is focus on a thought content concerning something that is wanted. An idea, that was spontaneously a "good idea". It is setting up a direction, consciously. If this will be the actual direction is not being established by it. So it is consciously empowering a thought with its content, using it, like I did when I was finally Seeing, but not necesseraly believing it.
On this one, LOOK closer at "intention." It is a thought, right? Is intention any more "real" that choice, free will or control?
it needs to be tested still if it is always the case. And if not, there might be work to do. Which I expect anyways.
So, control is a believed thought, which is very intense, with intense bodily sensations.

Yes, simply a believed thought. Does believing the thought of "control" make it "real?"

This is truly just a beginning. Old habits of thinking must be examined and questioned. There are piles of them and it can take a while.

Once you answer my follow-up questions, your answers will be shared with other guides who may have questions. Watch this thread and the Private Messages space, above right.

There are various opinions about how to work with thoughts after seeing there is no "self." One of our guides, Todd, has created a Facebook group, Fetter-Free, and a regular teleconference meeting to explore the 10 Fetters. We only work with the first 3 here.

The group that meets every 2 weeks. Connect with me, Stacy Ann Clark in Colorado, on Facebook after we finish here and I can put you in touch with that group.

There is also www.findingawakening.com but Christine has a waiting list.

And Kevin Shinilac has https://www.simplytheseen.com/ but I don't think he is guiding any more, although there are instructions on his site.

Or you can do The Work of Byron Katie or some other method that questions untrue thoughts. www.thework.com

I suggest you wait just a few days until we are complete here.

So, I'll watch for your next answers and then we'll go forward.

Much love,
~ Stacy

On this one, LOOK closer at "intention." It is a thought, right? Is intention any more "real" that choice, free will or control?
I have two observations. One is, intention is just a believed thought about the "I" wanting to happen, what just happened. "Oh, I intended to do that", but so quickly, that an illusion is created, that intention and action happened at the same time, thinking even intention happened before.

The other one is from my practice of setting intention in order to draw cards for example. Resonance principle. This took me now a while. I actually did that:

I took a card deck, held my hand above, tuned into DE first to get more to real stuff and waited what would unfold. Nothing much. There were thoughts coming up, but too quickly going. Hm. Then I suddenly picked a card and I had to laugh, because the title was "Thoughtful failures". Then I tried setting an intention. Now it is getting interesting. Because how do I actually set an intention? I was looking for thoughts coming up and then "choosing" one of them to be the one I wanted to believe in. It was obvious this was madness. I continued for the sake of the experiment: After believing it, I felt some "energetic waves" going through my body (just bodily sensation) which I then had a thought about "Yes, now I believe it enough". Then I drew again. There are 56 cards in it. I drew the same. If that wasn't a Thoughtful failure...

However, doing this made me observe a few things: There is a mystery factor, but to help me feel safe I tend to explain things. Which is pure thought. Setting the intention is thought, thinking to draw a card because of that is thought, making out the meaning of the drawn card is thought. A nice whole thought package.

So is intention any more real? No. It is thought about thought.
Yes, simply a believed thought. Does believing the thought of "control" make it "real?"
No not at all. It was one of my first shifts to see there is no and has never been control. Habit tries to tell me a different story but no, this one I have seen. I think though it is still one of the biggest things I still adapt to. Reminding me, observing it again and again - and be amazed by it. Because this paradoxically sets free.

__

Looking forward to become fetter-free. I took the day off to see some more, observe thoughts... reading the last chapter of "Liberation Unleashed"...
I am in touch with Christiane in her English and also her German fb group. She was the one guiding me here and I got her book which I only read until the 3rd fetter. I give it some time now and continue when I feel more settled. But yes, she is fully booked. I will just flow and will definitely take you up on the fetter-free group. It is so beautiful to have a community for this.

Thank you :)

No one had any questions.

So, Fetter-Free is on Facebook & you can get in touch for the Zoom meetings that happen every 2 weeks.

I'm Stacy Ann Clark in Colorado on Facebook.

Welcome home!
