There is no such thing as “too fast.” What is - no separate self - has always been the truth. Seeing the truth can't happen "too fast."

Okay, trying to to say yes to the resistance.

I feel a bit tearful (but not much, i have few emotions) - one thing that comes up is that i dont want to be 'stuck' like this - even if i realize something, i'll still be stuck not getting what i want, or being how i want - or being very awful and unloveable etc. or just shit, in a 'egoistic' way - but i really really want to be worth something also. it's all mixed up. i just feel afraid that even when this good stuff happens, i'll still be brain damaged and everyone will be very happy and beautiful and somehow that makes me feel even worse about how i'll still be inferior.

Hi Pierre,

You know, I think we need to back up a step here. The brain injury has been a big shock, and it may be, like it was for my family, that therapy is needed before moving into this.

I have no training to be able to help in this regard, but there is much more awareness about brain injury in the world now. And there are professionals who will understand and help you to feel more settled.

In the meantime, look into Byron Katie’s “The Work” on the web and her books. She provides four questions to help people begin to question thoughts.

When you are ready, please come back. Please understand that taking a break is not a failure, just good sense at this time.
