I can't find the story in reality, it's only comes up in thoughts
Good! Now look again, thoroughly, whether the main character of the story (which you thought is 'you') appears in reality, ever.

Right now I see the main character is this body or in this body. I can see the story is made up of thoughts and right here is all there is, but right here it feels like the main character is this body at the moment.

.

And is it? Look at the main character. Look at the body. Is it the same?

When looking I can't find the main character in reality, just in thoughts.

When I look at the body it's just sensations occurring seeing hearing feeling etc.

Thoughts can led to sensations like imagining eating a lemon, but they aren't the same.

It doesn't seem the same.

Good! So which of the two exists in reality?

Does the body exist in reality?

Does the fictional character exist?

Do you exist?

Are you the fictional character?

Does the body exist in reality?
Yeah, I can feel/touch it, it exists in reality.
Does the fictional character exist?
No, it's just thoughts that make this character seem real.
Do you exist?
I'm not sure what "you" is. I can sense things and am conscious/aware of what's happening, so that exists.
Are you the fictional character?
The character seems to arise only in thoughts, so no, I'm no the fictional character. The character is just something that comes into awareness.

Has it ever been different?

Has the main character ever had an appearance in reality?

No, It has always been that way, it was just believed to be real before.
Has the main character ever had an appearance in reality?
I keep looking an can't find it in reality, it was thought to be in reality in the past, but that is inaccurate upon looking.

Great :-)

So can you see the illusion, the dream?

If yes, how would you describe it in your own words?

When I examine it and look I can see the story isn't real, but it seems shallow, like there's no penetration to the seeing.

During the day thoughts occurs and are taken as real, then I put effort into looking at them and can break them down. But I have the tendency to break things down with thought and not looking, and thought breaking down thoughts is just more thoughts.

Maybe I'm still holding onto the story or onto something.

Then look...again and again. You know how to do it now. Whenever you say "it seems" or "it feels like"...look closely what the reality of it is.
In my experience a guide can lead you to the gate - give you everything to facilitate seeing and distinguishing reality from fiction - but then the gate is 'passed' in seeing only. And that requires being determined to look closely - nothing but that - again and again. Which also requires to go against the tendency to explain things intellectually. I can't do this for you so to speak. For me it was a determination to plainly look. The seeing is a very clear, sober "moment", not possible if there's a clinging to fiction or dream still.
Maybe I'm still holding onto the story or onto something.
Well, you will have to tell me. You've seen that the character - the 'I' - that you thought you are is a fiction. Do you hold on to a fiction and still say "This is me?"
Or is it something else?

Hello dear,
I'm closing this conversation from my side now, as I don't have the impression that you want to continuously explore. Feel free to reach out to a new guide any time (and I might help you with that) or you might also contact Ilona (founder of LU), who offers further support.
Love

It's been my pleasure. Yes, keep on looking at direct experience, you know how to do it and what it is now. If you want to go on with another guide at some point, let me know and I can help you find one.
