1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form?
Was there ever?
There is no seperate entity and never was.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience.
Describe it fully as you see it now.
It's nothing but thought which can seem complex as it creates a belief that there is an observer but is In fact thought analysing thought. It's on mostly, telling a story of likes, dislikes, should I shouldn't I. Opinions judgments etc. I see it as only thoughts and not reality. Just like the way a future scenario may be played. Quite simply just thoughts that just come and go.
3) How does it feel to see this?
What is the difference from before you started this dialogue?
Please report from the past few days.
A feeling if freedom and quite comical at the simplicity of the truth of it. I believed that "I" existed and ran my life, now I can see it as only thoughts.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
Looking for the "who" that wanted more clarity. On the evening of looking I suddenly saw it was all just thought adding to the illusion. Quite a subtle but profound experience.
5) a) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control.
Decision is made from somewhere other than thought but comes forth as a thought. As is intention. Freewill, choice and control are beliefs of the mind and are certainly not governed by thoughts.
b) What makes things happen? How does it work?
I don't know. Lol. I can't see how it works. A thought may pop up from somewhere that may remind me to do something. Action then happens, although things are happening anyway without Thought.
d) Give examples from experience
.
Driving a car. Multiple Things are happening continuously yet with thought not being applied. Then a decision may come forth as a thought. "Im going to pass this car" action then happens.
6) Anything to add?
Received a message today offering some work. Various thought streams popped into mind of, "Will i", "won't i". But quite quickly the thought decision "no" came into thought. There was a much more relaxed peaceful feeling. Everything recognised as thought without the fear produced by thinking have "i" done the right thing.
Warm regards
