Hi Matthew! Just passing by to say hello! Things are going good! The feeling of not having an imaginary self is setling in! Just relaxing and let life simply be! Reality is very simple and efortless without the narrative of the thougts! In direct experience there really is no I making anything happen! It's a wonderfull feeling not carrying all the stories...! I just think this "new" perspective still need to mature! Much gratitude here for what you're doing!

Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

No there isn't ! There are just toughts with the label "I" and stories about that imaginary self, of course this is well rooted in the human psiche since early age and assumes diferent layers! But it really doesnt exist!

Please explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

From a very early age we've being given a name, a family, the story of the family etc. All the family are identified wich one with their one personal self, so one doesnt even think about it! Also that sense of self is reinforced when things are not so pleasent(like the baby is hungry and is crying and no one listens) so that sense of self emerges to get the satisfying reality one idealizes! There is also the comunication thing, I this I that... it's like an hipnotic state!

Oh yes and the illusion of a separate self is thinking that life belong to us, as well as emotions thoghts, the body etc. Is seeing reality trough the lenses of this self and it's like anything that hapens it's happening to us instead of simply happening!

The diference it's like being ridden of a heavy weight from"myback" ! Is seeing that it was all just a story created and feeded! Life is simple and everything is exactly how it is! Still saying that this needs to mature!

This will happen naturaly i think! The best thing probably is to relax and let life flow! So that is the only thing that can be done it's more like a non doing! "I'm" still digesting this "stuff"

With the cessation of the belief in a separate self, many other beliefs that had their root on the belief in a separate self will also drop away. They will burn down.
How long this will continue, I cannot tell you.

Hey man with this last question you really hit a nerve! The decision making thing was not been entirely seen... but after that question when looking , it's seen the thought happens so fast(when decision making) that it's impossible for anything else to happen(like a decision maker) causes conditions(previous thougts) the senses that's all that is happening! It's funny and beautifull!
