Ha! Yes, there was a lot of thought put into that answer!! I see now that the statements about programming, conditioning and processes were the product of thinking rather than seeing directly. I can see the stimuli (hunger, your questions) and I see unbidden thoughts and thoughts arising in response to those stimuli and thoughts. But as to the process by which decisions/choices are made...regarding Q5, how do you know even this? How do you know that all of what you describe is what makes things happen?
They aren't, as far as I can see. Things happen. Thoughts occur, the body does things, other things happen. Thoughts influence bodily actions and other events, and vice versa, but none of these - thought, body or other events - are "in control". Being, doing, awareness just are, with no one thing in control or making the decisions. And if I say any more on this it will be conjecture, and a result of thought.
It's always been a belief of mine that "I am responsible for my own actions". Clearly and from the above, this is not true. There is no "I", and the actions are not "mine" either. But a specific example from my experience is my perceived responsibility to make a good living and provide for my daughter. I could just walk away from the situation and travel round the world, and leave my daughter's upbringing to someone else, but I don't, even though the idea is sometimes attractive! There is an overwhelming feeling of love for this person and this influences the process, but there is no responsibility, as there is in reality no "I" to be responsible. Also regarding the question about "what are you responsible for" -- it would be good if you could give an example from experience.
