Hi Doerian,
Yes!
But it's not anything in there. There's something that never changes but it's not a fixed entity I can point to it's all around.
Something that never changes that is all around. Ok you have experienced looking at things without a 'looker' and choosing without a 'chooser'. At those times there has been a state without an 'I' as you have described it.
Perhaps this could be described as 'just THIS' or pure awareness or whatever, and you can feel that such would not change.
Is that right, does that describe your experience ?
I'll presume enough to continue anyway ! At this stage we can say this has been your perception, not anything that 'exists'.It doesn't change while that is your perception but where is 'it' afterwards ?
Is that perception yours so there is something of you that doesn't, on some level, change ?
Maybe someday that will be your ongoing perception but right now we want to root out the separation of an 'I' that perceives.
NO!
separate self, no wee core to which everything is referred back. Good, in which case you have got it.
We just need to make sure you have really got it without holding to the notion of something permanent.
Don't understand your phrase.
Sorry about that, the rapper within, shit meaning your stuff, thoughts feelings, stories and so on. I was saying it is a short step from not identifying with all the 'stuff' that arises --these thing are 'me'---to not identifying with the thought/belief in a separate self.
There's no point?
There's freedom.
No identification everything is just as it is mental states, feelings and emotions included. Mixed not separate and very rich.
That sounds great. By mixed I presume you mean all those things arise together. Rich, yes, when things are positive it all feels very rich.
Are things just as they are, without identification ? Really, is it known for sure there is no 'I' ?
Still not sure about this that never changes. It's not an it. It's certainly not an I more like field but it's all inclusive endless I can only experience part of it but its larger than whatever this is which is not I.
I wrote about this already but 'field' brings to mind the phrase 'ground of being', another possible description of your experience. There isn't a 'thing' though, there can be an awakening to uncontaminated perception but not 'yours' or 'mine'.

While there is a thing there is someone who enjoyed that thing, someone separate from the perception; an 'I' .
Don't make sense anymore sorry.
When I try to understand I get tense again, identification takes place when trying to understand?
Why are you trying to understand ? Keep it simple.
Why not try the exercises you have done so far and simply look in your direct experience for anything that constitutes a self.

O and the shit that arises is not mine.

Hi Doerian,
That's frustrating, when something so clever stops cooperating.

There are a couple of questions in the first chunk of my last post please have a look at them too.

Also the question 'Why are you trying to understand?' might be worth looking at.

hahahahaha

Okay, will do!
Let you know later.
For now, yes? Why? Why if there's no I?
Keeping it simple.
Just being aware there are no questions
at all

Hi Ratnapani,

Sorry I haven't checked in lately. Busy times but also didn't know what to report anymore.
Exercising as you suggest.
Didn't know what to report anymore.
No self no I just experience or awareness.
Feelings arise, thoughts arise, there's no I, nothing I can point to.
There is no chooser.
Nothing I can' point to.
Don't even know wat or how things get done by this hands i.e. typing.
There's no I giving any command.

Still if there's awareness and concentration it looks as if there's more direction.
It seems that decisions can me be made?
But not through an I or a fixed self.

Looking more at things without identification throughout the day.
Just seeing, hearing, doing etc. and letting this life substance or whatever it is, do what it does or has to do. It goes more as if by itself. Freeing experience beautiful but with sort of peace not much clinging or attachment. If shitty things happen same then it's not nice but far less resisting or pushing away.
Had such a beautiful day yesterday because of that.
Lot of love.
There's nothing and it was as if eyes saw more the riches of trees, of water. I have a beautiful view from my center/office at the old harbor of Antwerp.
Incredible, magic. Large thunderstorm happend haha incredible. Loved it.
There's a stream of love and feel calm peaceful because there's no I?

Sometinems there's still anxiety. because I've got it but it's so flabbergasting that thoughts say WHAT!!!!

"Aren't you made to believe another story, the no I story?"

Which doesn't mean there's an I.
Or a believe in an I
No I to be found weird weird weird.

That's all for now.

Also because of your last remarks I felt a bit intimidated and withdrew apparently not on purpose.
Strange, sorry. Felt like you (whoever that is) was irritated by my questions and doubts.
Why are you trying to understand ? Keep it simple.
Why not try the exercises you have done so far and simply look in your direct experience for anything that constitutes a self.
Looking forward to more exercises if needed. Meanwhile exploring being curious and asking fear (no answer yet).

Hi Doerian,
It's great to hear from you and this all sounds superb !!!
Also because of your last remarks I felt a bit intimidated and withdrew apparently not on purpose.
Strange, sorry. Felt like you (whoever that is) was irritated by my questions and doubts.
Absolutely not, no way, not at all. It's an honour to accompany you on this journey; a journey that arrives back where you started, where you have always been but didn't know it !
My questions were calculated to get you to look again, maybe a bit deeper but it looks like they weren't as well calculated as I had hoped !
No self no I just experience or awareness.
Feelings arise, thoughts arise, there's no I, nothing I can point to.
There is no chooser.
Nothing I can' point to.
Don't even know wat or how things get done by this hands i.e. typing.
There's no I giving any command
That sounds like something worth reporting, that feels real to me.
It seems that decisions can me be made?
But not through an I or a fixed self.
You asked a question, that sounds like a good answer !
Sometinems there's still anxiety. because I've got it but it's so flabbergasting that thoughts say WHAT!!!!

"Aren't you made to believe another story, the no I story?"
Anxiety has produced a clever little doubt which can in fact occur, a no I story. Are you giving it any belief at all ?

As to anxiety in the face of this beautiful new world I would recommend finding the sensation in the body associated with it.
Welcome it, be with it. Is it painful? Do you need to get rid of it ? Does it 'produce' thoughts or is it just what is it is ?

A bit of apprehension is common if not universal.
Looking forward to more exercises if needed. Meanwhile exploring being curious and asking fear (no answer yet).
because I've got it but it's so flabbergasting that thoughts say WHAT!!!!
One little exercise that might help thought relax,

Say to yourself 'There is no Santa Claus' - what is the response, how does it feel?
Then say to yourself 'There is no separate self' - what is the response ?

How nice to have a beautiful view from your workplace, I love a waterside view.

One little exercise that might help thought relax,

Say to yourself 'There is no Santa Claus' - what is the response, how does it feel?
Then say to yourself 'There is no separate self' - what is the response ?
Makes me cry (no sadness, joy and relief)

gotta go

Hi Ratnapani,

Second time asking
Say to yourself 'There is no Santa Claus' - what is the response, how does it feel?
Then say to yourself 'There is no separate self' - what is the response ?
Laughing laughing laughing.
So obvious gives goosebumps ooo
a lot of suffering going on because of identification.

Smiling.
Love
