Hi Lawrence,

When I re-read our thread I see I indeed was using awareness in two different ways, so I'm glad you clarified.

So yes when I look, my thoughts are just another form of looking.

Santa Claus and/or the spoon aren't real, they exist in imagination. Imagination is a visual thought form, and therefore another form of looking.

...but isn't everything a form of looking?

Thank you for the encouragement. I want to follow through too, and it was getting confusing...maybe I'm still confused given my last question.

With Gratitude,
Keri

In other words, if when I look I see that everything is One, that there is no separation of anything, that it is all consciousness, with no "I"...then who cares what is real or not?

Hello Keri
Glad we are fully back on board. Lots of this can be for further discussion elswhere on LU and elswhere, but watch out for charging unicorns.

As there is no "I". would yopu agree there is no-one that controlls anything ?
If there is no-one/no "I" to control anything is there free-will?
Best

There is no "I" and yes, no one controls anything.

And no, there is no free will. If thoughts are a form of looking and there is no I, there can't be free will.

(I've felt like for years intuitively, and what I relief to get it again!)

Thank you, Lawrence

Lovely Keri

Let's just review everything , even though you have answered most of this throughout the thread. Take your time

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.
6) Anything to ad

1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

Nope, there is no "I" or "me" and there never was.

2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.

The illusion is separate self is the sense of an "I", a "me" or a "my". The illusion of being separate probably begins at birth or shortly thereafter, maybe from other's influence and projections of collective beliefs. A parent might say "my baby" or "do you want your bottle?" and so on some level the illusion is becoming integrated into the baby's experience. And obviously as we move forward in life, we stray farther and farther from the Truth, unless we remember. And even as remember (in my case) a separate "I" is so fully ingrained in reality, that it takes a practice of intentionally remembering to find the Truth. Thanks to Liberation Unleashed, the process of "looking" provides an excellent means to practice.

3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.

The shift in perspective from observing or looking at the Oneness of everything brings me a sense of joy and comfort. Things don't seem so heavy or significant. And it's is an incredible relief to remember that I'm not in control, that what needs to happen will, and what doesn't, won't.

4) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?

I was getting quite frustrated because I was looking for some "right answer". When I stopped thinking and just closed and opened my eyes to experience the boundless awareness as I was instructed to, I began to see the Oneness. I was doing this exercise at a park at Mauna Kea (a very sacred mountain in Hawaii) and when I drove home afterwards I began to experience the looking without doing the exercise.
I wrote this poem about the experience:

When I close my eyes,
I feel awareness expanded.
I see some flecks of light,
energy moving,
bursts of red and orange.

I feel the same awareness
When I look inside of my body.
a tight hamstring,
Electric energy spewing from toes,
an open heart.

When I open my eyes,
I feel no "I".
I have eyes as slits,
That rip from nothing
Into Everything.
Gates into a single perspective,
The projector of one movie,
That IS all there Is.

5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience.

Decision is when awareness chooses something. Intention is when awareness creates something. Free will is the illusion of control in/of Life. Choice is the same as decision. Control is an illusion that stems from the ultimate Illusion that there is an I.

Things happen because they happen. They don't because they don't. How it works is a mystery.

Since "i" doesn't exist, I am responsible for everything and nothing. When looking, "responsibility" or "what am I responsible for?" appears as just a thought or a concept, the same as "I wonder if it will rain tomorrow?"

6) Anything to ad

This experience went from fearful to very frustrating to enjoyable. I'm grateful Liberation Unleashed exists, and that I could participate in it so I can remember these knowings. Thank you Lawrence for the time and energy you gave to me.
