There is no one to choose options or to make decisions. As "alternative options" occur in thoughts, these very same thoughts "have decided" (thoughts don't decide, but there are thoughts about having decided) which options are the ones that are optimum. In this way, there is no decision to make, but thoughts have suggested there were options and decisions to be made that were made. What is it exactly that chooses to make decisions that present themselves as requiring immediate attention or by necessity of circumstances? What is it exactly that is making decisions?
When there are thoughts about decisions, "I" watch (or more accurately, thoughts occur about) how "a decision-making process seems to unfold." "I know" (it is known and experienced) that there is no "I" and no decisions. What is it exactly that is making decisions?
As life unfolds, there are thoughts and sensations about "being a participant" in the story, yet no longer with any solid belief in the authorship of or control over this process.
This super-rigorous questioning continues to help clarify and deepen the experience of no-self. Thank you Kay!
