Can I have a guide please?

Mork calling Orson, Mork calling Orson...
Re: Can I have a guide please?
I’d be happy to walk with you, no.one.
Just a little housekeeping before we start.
First, how much have you seen of the LU site? If you've not yet done so, please take the time to look at some or all of the introductory materials accessible from the home page of the forum. There's a YouTube video and a short book, available in both paid and complimentary formats. Some people see exactly what guides point to, just by reading those materials, so they're highly recommended.
If you have already read around this forum then you understand this relationship: I’m not a teacher and cannot ‘give' you anything. "Learning something new" may prove an interesting objective, in that it might be said that this process is more like 'unlearning': of habitual responses and ways of thinking and seeing. Anyway, you will be doing all the heavy lifting here and my role is one of overwatch or coach, to remind you to look and keep looking.
Please read my posts all the way through and respond to everything that I ask you. I will do the same for you. Is that clear?
Also, please understand that the process requires a kind of momentum, so if possible, please don’t leave long gaps between responses, let’s keep it moving at a reasonable pace. If you can’t, or just want a little more space, then just a post or PM to let me know and I’ll do the same.
Very useful is to get to know how the forum works (quoting, etc.) and it's a good idea to compose your posts in another local app on your machine, such as Evernote or OneNote before uploading, as this forum might log you out in the middle of your composition.
Finally, I need to ask where you' are at with your 12 step program. You mentioned being "in", suggesting that you're yet to complete it. This can complicate our work, so I need to be clear about that before we begin.
I look forward to working with you.
Welcome and warm regards,
Michael

Re: Can I have a guide please?
Hi Michael,
Thank you; I shall try to comply with your assistance; I have watched the youtube and downloaded the book. I shall read that shortly.
I'm also over six-years-sober, recovered, and very much 'in' a 12 Step program; it's a daily practice (Steps 10, 11, and 12); so no worries there.
I shall report back tomorrow (hopefully) after I've read the book.
Kind regards,
Tosh

Re: Can I have a guide please?
Hi Tosh,
I'm just checking in to see how you're going with the reading? Is life just getting in the way or have you hit a snag with the materials?
Regards,
Michael
