I'm so glad there is more, there was disappointment with thoughts of it ending an illusion is seen, but there is still feelings of there is more to experience with you.
There was a realisation in particular when you pointed out how wording can play a role in holding onto the self. This brought a realisation how much the illusion of self presented itself in all areas even when it was believed that the self was not present in the sentences being wrote. There was insight when you kept asking to find the self, who is the person making choices etc... You kept bringing me back to this until there was a realisation that the self does not exist. This began to be more accepted as there was more experience of no self.
5) yes I thought previously I chose to eat what I wanted or not depending on if I was in diet mode. Now it is seen that this is not true and that there may be patterns of behaviour present that will take time to shift. There is seeing and the experience of eating food.

Thank you
Shirley

Hello Shirley,

Thank you for your reply and explanation and for the example for Qu5.

I'm going to bug you with one or two more questions just now. But this is simply my attempt to be thorough.
This began to be more accepted as there was more experience of no self
Good. However, is 'no-self' a thing that is experienced? If not, what actually is it?
Now it is seen that this is not true and that there may be patterns of behaviour present that will take time to shift.
Whilst this may be quite useful speculation, strictly speaking, looking right now at experience are there 'patterns of behaviour that will take time to shift'? Can those be seen or found, other than as thoughts?

Is there 'someone' that 'decides' that 'patterns must shift'?

In the moment right now, is there a 'future' in which patterns have either shifted or not?

Love,

Jon

Wow you keeping doing it my brain hurts, an illusion of course and a saying.

No there is no self experienced and there is nothing one can use to explain it, it just is it is nothingness there is nothing to experience.
I cannot find anything or anybody who decides the patterns of behaviour or the behaviour it is all thoughts about it. There is no one deciding or shifting the behaviour. There is nothing to shift.
Thank you
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

You are doing great! Now, would you be willing to have another go at answering question 5? It would help a lot if you'd be prepared to have another go at answering it? It doesn't have to be a long answer or complicated, just containing an exampe or two, fom experience, that will reveal how 'decisions' or 'choices' seem to happen?

Love

Jon

I'm not sure what you are looking for in q5

5)Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Give examples from your experience

No there is no decisions made or intentions choices and control over life. Life just happens.
An example is I went to the hospital to visit my grandad at 6 today. Previously I would have said I made this choice and made it happen. But in observing this there could be no self decision maker etc found it just happened.
Whilst at the hospital I approached the nurse and asked for information about my grandad. Whilst doing this at no point could the decision to do this be found, there was thoughts about it but no self in all of this making these thoughts or a choice to speak to the nurse.
There there is no I making things happen.

Hi Shrley,
I'm not sure what you are looking for in q5
But you have given a great answer anyway, thank you. It just needed a couple of examples and you gave them.

Now that you have answered these questions I'd like to ask some of the other guides to take a look at our conversation. It's very helpful to have their feedback. They may or may not present further questions.

This can take a little while to happen, so I'll let you know when they have responded.

love

Jon.

Shirley I have the utmost pleasure in telling you that the other guides looked at our conversation and all agree with me that you have gone through the Gateless Gate. Congratulations!

Of course you know this already. You have seen through the illusion of 'self' .But it's great that others see this too.

Now some nice things happen and I'll tell you more about that in a Private Message which I will send later this evening. You'll find it in your message inbox that can be accessed via 'new messages' at the top of this page.

It has been such a pleasure guiding you.

Love
