Re: Guide Available.

Hi Metta

Hope you are well and it is not to cold out there

I was just wondering when I might expect to hear about the after care group and the process to train to help with guiding. Just wish to keep the ball rolling.

Re: Guide Available.

Thank you Metta for your ongoing kindness and persistence in winkling out the delusion

“Where is the slippage, once seen as no self, where is suffering? Who is suffering?”
There can be physical pain…such as a pain arising in the body…even if I see it is not “my body” and that “pain” is merely a ...

Re: Guide Available.

Thank you once again for your kind engagement with me.

“Do you have an expectation that suffering should cease?”

There will still be dukkha that goes with having a body….and to the extent that there is slippage into identification or appropriation of experience there will be dukkha. However I am ...

Re: Guide Available.

Thank you Metta.

“Is this 'awareness' separate from what is seen?”

No there is just the seen

“Is there an 'awareness' that is aware of sound?”

No there is just sound

“Is there an 'awareness' that is aware of sensation?”

Re: Guide Available.

Thanks METTA

To answer the question

It is awareness that sees the process. Awareness that is empty but cognizant and not a “thing” in itself. It is awareness without any “self” reference whatsoever. Any self reference is indicative that a thought is now present and being identified with.

I hope ...

Thank you Metta for your guidance, kindness and encouragement. Likewise it has been a great pleasure undertaking this journey with you.

1) Is there a 'me', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?

Re: Guide Available.

Thanks Metta

This really getting onto the area I have not looked at considered sufficiently..i.e. other people

Who is there to fear? No self ?

I guess the fear is that some aspect of self will be harmed or hurt (speaking at the mental level). Why would one need to defend a stream of conditioned ...

Re: Guide Available.

Hi Metta

Thank you.

“One last question. Now the idea of self is seen through and that there is no separation, what of the idea of others? Are there any others?”

I am not sure. I think I have the tendency to view others as substantial entities even though I observe that their behaviour and moods ...
