Re: So close
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
No, that's clearly unreal. It never existed.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as ...

Re: So close
Initially a feeling of oh! Dang. How does it FEEL to see this?
ATM the feeling is calm. Peaceful, with clarity. What's really pronounced is that when thoughts arise it's clear they're not real. This can't be unseen.
Turns out it's quiet and ordinary, familiar.
Re: So close
Oh. I see it now!
There's nothing here. It's all concept. There isn't be a next thing, or a me. I've been looking but the answer can't be seen. Even calling it an answer is a lie.
There was no shift in identity, just no identity.
Gratefully,
Guy

Re: So close
How fast is the ‘present moment’ actually moving?
It doesn't seem to be moving. Movement doesn't have meaning here.
Just look at 'this moment', can you find a point where it began?
No, I don't find any boundaries or deciding lines.
How long does the ‘now’ last?
I can't tell.
Where does ...

Re: So close
Well, I somehow missed yesterday. Sorry about that
I'm trying for something everyday.
It seems to be my experience that one event follows another.
Your experience? Can you point to Direct Experience? Or is it only thinking?
No! There's nothing in direct experience that says one event ...

Re: So close
Afternoon,
But is there an experience of the ’now’ moving along the line of time?
I have no experience of the now progressing.
Any experience of one ‘moment’ giving way to the next?
No, nothing
Is there any actual or direct experience of one event following another?
Ah, what a question ...

buttChair: exploring with sensation I don't feel a boundary, visually I do see my pant legg and the seat. I'll continue looking.

Re: So close
This morning, standing by my microwave, my thoughts completely stopped. I've never seen my kitchen that way before, no stories, nothing. I'm calling it a glimpse, a reminder.
As for the work we're doing, I continue to "sit with" buttChair.
What's next?
With Gratitude,
Ty

I keep instructing you to LOOK. This means LOOK with your eyes .
Thanks for explaining that to me. I thought I was looking into all of direct experience, and for that last pointer (ButtChair) I was mostly focused on sensation. I didn't sense a boundary looking with sensation.
