Thread for Judy

Postby Nettie » Wed Apr 09, 2014 6:29 pm

Dear Judy,
I will be happy to be your guide.

Here are a few ground rules,
1. You agree to post at least once a day, even if only to say, "still here!"
I am not your teacher, all I can do is point, you look, until clear seeing happens.
2. In general, I will ask questions, you look deeply and honestly, and respond.
3. Responses require simple, uncontrived honest looking. There are no wrong or right answers.
4. Responses are best from direct experience (felt senses and observed thoughts). Long-winded analytical and philosophical answers, and stream of consciousness answers are best avoided and may even hinder progress.
5. Put aside all other teachings, philosophies and such for the remainder of this investigation. Really put all your effort and attention in to seeing this reality, as it is. If you have a daily and essential meditation practice, it is fine to continue that.
6. Please learn to use the quote function; instructions are located in the link below this line:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=660”

If you haven't already seen it, there is intro info here, our disclaimer and a short video too.
http://www.liberationunleashed.com/

This is an utterly intimate honest deep looking. Keep the focus on yourself. Keep it simple.

If you could confirm you have seen all the above and would like me to be your guide - then we shall begin.

What are your expectations for this process?
How will it change you?
How will this feel?
You can press 'subscribe to this topic in the blue bar at the bottom of this page and receive an email every time I post here. Some report its easier to write their response somewhere else and then copy it to avoid time running out on the forum.

Love,
Nettie

my expectation is that I will come to know 'truth' about the 'self/I'
have yet to understand how or if this will change me
the feeling will be a sense of freedom, I feel as if I have always been looking for 'this'

oh, agree to the guidelines, and I guess I expect that I will come 'home' with this understand, so I do think it will change my experience and thus will be more in 'wonder' at Life

"my expectation is that I will come to know 'truth' about the 'self/I'

Please leave all expectations aside....this is way beyond belief....it simply isn't like anything ...,beyond imagination...
So to what are you referring when you use the word "I"?

Are you the thinker of your thoughts?

Nettie

Hi Nettie,
Q - So to what are you referring when you use the word "I", my answer could be this persona, the one typing. Agggg, have way over-thought this one but my final answer is I do not know.
I do know that thoughts are just thoughts, just words floating thru (used I again)

Judy

We don't stop using the word "I"
It is realized that the self is merely a set of fleeting description.

To not find anything when looking for self....what does that feel like?

Super duper love,
Nettie

Hi!
Has there ever been a separate self?
Is there a chooser?
A conductor of your life?

if there is not one now, then there could not have ever been one
i seem to choose, like to go to the grocery store,
always thought there was a conductor, not so sure anymore, that is freaky, not sure how to deal with this

Feeling connected. Feeling disconnected ....both happen evenly and equally ...,utterly spontaneously with nothing needing to be done. There is nothing you can do.
Sometimes we cry our eyes out.
We are magnificently human.

Dearest Nettie,
Would love to be able to cry my eyes out, only at beautiful movies does this happen, nothing I can do
Peace
Judy

Nettie,
just saw something, playing solitaire I noticed that this or that move could be made, there was no control of the outcome.
It appears that the player does not have anything more to do but just make a move, a thinker is not necessary
So, no conductor
These questions appear deep, still looking at them.
much love,
J

How wondrous to be free of the illusion of control!
Your hands were never on the handlebars...,and they were never attached.
It is a looking without expectation
Love you,
Nettie
