LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
From what I have learnt this points to the realization that the person I usually take myself to be—this separate “me” with a story, a past, and a future—is just a bundle of thoughts and perceptions. When I look closely, I don’t find a solid, unchanging self at the center of experience.
What are you looking for at LU?
I know, it is not an I that can gain spiritual awakening, yet this is all that i am drawn to at the moment. Maybe with every book that I'm reading about awakening, with a lot of sitting in stillness, asking myself "who am I", with doing inquiry and trying to deidentify with thoughts, I can develop the circumstances for self realization to occur. So here I am looking for someone to help me on that path, and help the process of awakening.
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
Direct pointings to unfiltered reality, making out the blind spots that still keep "me" indentified to "my" thoughts and the ego, finding community to go through the process of self realization together as it gets more and more destabilizing an irritating when I really question anything,
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I have read several books on spiritual awakening, enlightenment, self realization and following their guindings, I am practizing zen in a zen centre weekliy, but in general Iam constantly trying to stay present all the time, I will attend a non-dual retreat this summer, I meditate more than an hour daily, I attend Pernille Damores Awakening Curriculum, I had meetings with a non dual Coach, which git too expensive for me though,
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self?
