Seeing through the veil of duality

LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
What I call “myself” is an amalgam of stories acquired over time from all the influences which have shaped it since birth ( cultural, stars, family, education etcetera) there is another self, as old as the universe call it the witness, the observer, the watcher.

What are you looking for at LU?
To abide by this witness, not deviate from it, or at least see that I deviate, and when I do and get lost as I often do, to come back more quicker and more often, to live from this state of witnessing more of the time, until it becomes a center of gravity, to see myself as not myself, to watch, to stay connected to this second attention which is not me, it belongs to the universe, it is the universe.

What do you expect from a guided conversation?
Help me see through the veil of duality, how I construct the world which I then believe in, help me break free from the doer and its constant grip on my psyche. I can’t see what I can’t see, a guide can help me.

What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
Started when I was 11 years old, my godfather was a pupil of GI Gurdjieff, I went to Rajneesh at 18 years old, left his organization at 25, became intensely interested in Krishnamurti, when he died went back to the Gurdjieff work, which I have been following since.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 11
