LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
It is understood that their is no doership, that life is just happening.

What are you looking for at LU?
Someone who will guide me through the fear barrier, the anxiety that ‘I’ will cease to exist. There is an apparent sense urgency, after many years of seeking/inquiring that this needs to be seen. It feels imperative to get it done.

What do you expect from a guided conversation?
Clear recognition of my true nature. An end to seeking, an end to suffering, an end to anxiety and fear, an end to the daisy chain of thoughts. A resolution to what was begun many years ago. Peace. Equanimity.

What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
Many years, on and off, of seeking. I have attended a couple of retreats (Paul Hedderman, Rupert Spira).

On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self?

Hi Stafford. I’m on holiday with an old friend. We’re both single men, with complicated pasts. Middle aged, etc. We are drinking too much, which is a long established pattern, and the obvious answer to dealing with the situation. It ain’t working. I’m feeling a lot of anger towards him, and he towards me. Kind of a disaster, really. I’ve been spouting non duality at him, which was a bad idea, as he’s not ready to hear it. I’m here. It’s now. It’s difficult. My own anger flares, and then fizzles out fairly quickly - much more so than in the past. But still I feel a lot of resistance, a dragging back to old tropes/patterns, etc. I feel there’s something blocking me, which is connected to my close. relationships. There’s a constant hum in my ears, to which I try to connect. It feels correct. Beyond that, I haven’t a clue. Thank you so much for your words. They are very helpful. Lots of love and peace to you. We can work through any dark stuff & just to ease the mind it's actually stupid simple. Apologies for the way I've put it but Really really silly simple. The word Question Actually is from Quest a Journey so No Answers only The quest of Seeing Looking Noticing without the Seer Looker Noticer...?!? Notice how that Hum is Humming before the Listener Hears it...!?!
