LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this?
I understand that there is no permanent, independent and separate self. I don't believe my thoughts and any stories about me but I still feel a lot of contraction in my body and many times it is very strong sensation.
What are you looking for at LU?
I read many books and watched many videos and still do that today. I may need to work with someone directly to clarify some things for me. Having another human beings to reflect on and share with may be very beneficial here.
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
I feel that more clarity and more certainty would come out of this work. I spent a lot of time working on "no self" and at this point I feel that it would be useful for me to have someone to give me feed back and direction since I can't tell where I am at this point, did I cross the gateless gate or not.
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I meditate regularly in the morning and evening, try to be mindful throughout the day as much as possible. I read and follow Buddha's teachings at the moment, working mainly on the 8 fold path for the moment.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self?
