Sounds like a storm is coming so I will send these answers and then turn off the computer until it passes.
I hope everything is OK with you!
Looking inside the body I appears to be in my head as if the thought to freeze instructed the body from my head.
You said that it appears the I is in the head.
Look deeper... saying
appears implies the existance of doubt.
In this moment if you look to experience, is a you in the head?
Can you touch it, smell it, see it, point to it's exact location...?
Other than a thought and maybe a sensation caused by habit, when you try to see it, is a you there?
But to be in control of the freeze would mean that is what I would do but other thoughts just come in to distract so how am I controlling anything.
Keep looking in your everyday experience. Are you controlling anything? This but not that? Or life is happening without a you controlling it?
No, I can't see a you. So how can the body belong to anyone. It's not mine. It could only be mine if all actions and thoughts originated from the body but thoughts just come, movement just happens.
Yes, thoughts happen in experience, movement happens in experience and body also happens in experience. Can you find anything that isn't being experienced?
The freezing happens but it seems to be Dianne's idea.
Let's see if there really is a Dianne having ideas!
Look at
thoughts, please, make these "experiences" and tell me how it goes, one by one:
Can you see where do thoughts come from? Where do they go?
Do you know what your next thought is going to be?
Can you stop a thought in the middle?
Don't think of your right foot!
Think only "happy" thoughts for the next 10 minutes!
And my favorite question: can thoughts think?
Doing this can you find the thinker, a Dianne doing and controlling thoughts, to whom they belong?
If not are thoughts personal?
Sending love, Sandra
