Who am I?

LU is focused guiding for seeing there is no real, inherent 'self' - what do you understand by this? I understand the idea of "no-self" to be the knowledge that that is no self that is separate from everything else. I currently see myself as a separate being that is interacting with other people and objects that are separate from me, and LU is focused on helping people see through that false belief.
What are you looking for at LU?
I am looking to understand the nature of consciousness and self on a deeper level. I am hoping to be able to see through the illusion of a separate self and recognize the unity of experience. I would love the opportunity to work with a guide to see the truth of reality and be free from false beliefs. I want to get to the bottom of the question "Who am I?"
What do you expect from a guided conversation?
I expect to be pointed to aspects of my direct experience that will help me see clearly what is really happening with reality. I understand the process to be more about direct experience and not about concepts or theories. I will answer questions that are asked of me completely honestly in order to reflect my current experience and receive further pointers to the truth, usually in the form of questions about what I am experiencing.
What is your experience in terms of spiritual practices, seeking and inquiry?
I've had a casual meditation practice for the past 6 years or so, which consisted of regular daily practice and a meditation retreat at the beginning of 2021, and another one at the end of 2024.
The past ~6 months have really ramped up in a big way, though. It’s come to the point now for the past few weeks that I've realized self-inquiry and understanding the nature of consciousness has become the most important thing in my life. Any time outside of work is dedicated to seated meditation and even throughout the day I try to do inquiry about my normal experience. I dedicate at least 3 hours most days to meditating and trying to do some form of self-inquiry by watching thoughts, asking "who am I?", and trying to find the "self" that is experiencing everything.
On a scale from 1 to 10, how willing are you to question any currently held beliefs about 'self? 10
