Thank you Hannes

A beautiful description of experiencing of surrender.

Love the phrase “dual battle of resistance." 😊 It reminds me of what someone said once that this "me" is just one big "NO" to what is already experienced in the present moment.

What a difference when that battle is is no longer front and center of experience

I'm going to get other guides to look at our thread and see if there is anything they would like us to dig a bit deeper on.

Might be a couple of days but rest assured I'll be back to you !!

Hello Hannes

One question has arrived ....here it is. It relates to what you said here
The idea of different people is used by me to build the separate self and at the same time I find it hard to look beyond that.
Question:

Please could you clarify by what you mean when you say ‘looking beyond that’ and who or what is finding this hard and in what way?

Simply just describe your direct experience of this

Hello Alan,

I enjoy looking at my emails and seeing a message from LU knowing it's from you. 😊
Please could you clarify by what you mean when you say ‘looking beyond that’

We talked about the fact that the simplest and deepest level to describe perception are colors, sounds, sensations and thoughts. I construct my apparent reality from these by giving my perception meaning and relating what I perceive to each other. I do that with other people. I still use them as evidence that I am a separate self.

If I talk about 'looking beyond that', shouldn't I see all people as equally neutral? As color and sound? However, my brother and my son are special and not neutral.

and who or what is finding this hard and in what way?
You are right. That "it's hard" is just my interpretation or story that I put on my perception. Nothing is hard.

I see my fellow citizens and I imagine I really perceive another person. That is the "persistent" thought.

Hello dear Hannes

I enjoy looking at my emails and seeing a message from LU knowing it's from you. 😊
And I've so enjoyed seeing your posts pop up these last weeks too.

Other guides have no more questions. They feel the resonance in your responses.

Welcome to the doorway to home !!!

In truth, you are the only one who can really know if you’ve seen through the notion of a separate self. However your insights and descriptions of your experiencing in your last posts resonate with the feeling that there has been a real recognition that the “me” is a thought construct along with many others that are at the root of what we call suffering.

One of the guides suggested this pointer.
"My experience with the 'pull' of thoughts is that it is accurate at one level, but actually conceptual overlay, as there is no apartness from thought and no distance to pull to or push from, so the idea of pulling can fall away. I thought that might be helpful for Hannes to consider."

And here is something that is most probably so clear to you and is worth pointing to again and again

Wherever we "arrive" is ALWAYS only the beginning

One of the guides here at LU recently beautifully described this continuing unfolding.

'"When the core belief of a “me” has been busted, a lot of other beliefs will still be hanging around. What you want to do at this point is LOOK and LOOK again and again. Keep your eyes open, let the beliefs come to the surface. Keep looking. They will come up one by one ready to be examined and released. Don’t fight them. Hold on to nothing.

As soon as you start holding on to beliefs and ideas, you get stuck - you feel right about something and feel like you have an opinion. To unstick, just let it be fully experienced consciously and let it all fall off. That means question everything you are certain about. It may take some time to settle in, but everyone is different, so there is no way to know how long it will take to be totally content and settled in the "new" way of being in the world. Sometimes it is intense, sometimes it’s gentle, but there is no finish line, only falling deeper and deeper into peace.

“Crossing the gate” is only the beginning of infinite integration and insights. All the old conditioning has to be seen for what it is. The best part is that the clearing out, this unbinding, happens on its own – it takes care of itself with authentic clear SEEING. When triggers are experienced (typically emotional,) it just shows that there are areas that are calling to be acknowledged and be explored directly."

It is also worth reminding ourselves that one of the fundamental truths here is to be able to continue to see the story AND the sensation in emotions that arise - as you are already doing. Sitting with sensations is absolutely key to this on-going unbinding. FEELING into sensation without interpretation is another approach to experience that we need to use again and again. Sometimes we can drop straight into it. Other times we find it really challenging.

LOOKING and FEELING are the tools that are always at our disposal to be used over and over again.
Separating thought from sensation is the most important thing that has to happen. So important because this in the main tool that will carry you through as realizations as they deepen - and basically the only tool. Only one thing to look into – is it real or not real? Direct experience is the most important aspect of the exploration - am I seeing this right now or am I thinking this?

If you feel some extra help is worthwhile here just let me know and I will respond by private email.

Some additional information and resources

First of all, there will be a message from Nerina or someone in admin arriving in your inbox. Let me know if you so not spot it.

Your username will change from green to blue. This thread will be moved to the ‘Archive’ section of the forum, but you will be able to access it.

From what I’ve experienced working with you, you would make a wonderful guide, if you’re willing to explore it, when you feel ready. It can be very rewarding and it help you deepen your understanding. I know that there are language differences here but that is something you and I have proved is not a barrier. I really appreciated you navigating the language challenges as you have done. Let’s chat if that resonates with you.

Also there are some Zoom meetings that can be helpful. Meetups where people being guided and guides meet to share experience and enquire together

Vince Shubert runs 2 or 3 meetups each week at various times to suit different time zones. Write to vinceschubert@gmail.com for the link & schedule.
If you would like to check out what happens in Vince’s meetups here is Vince’s You tube channel where you can look at recordings of previous meetups
https://www.youtube.com/@vinceschubert

Luchana & Lubo run one on Thursdays in Europe. Write to Luchana at luchanauzunova@gmail.com

Ilona holds a monthly meeting. Write admin@ilonaciunaite.com for that link & schedule

I will also send you a private message with my contact details for you to have anytime you feel you would like to be in touch.

And finally, just before I wrap up here there is something that Adyashanti wrote which is at the heart of living

It is this......

“The inner teacher is a rather subtle and obscure inner force. It arises in deep inner silence when you are truly humble and sincere. It is your deepest being reaching out to you. It often has the paradoxical feel of being deeply rooted within us but also has the feeling of otherness to it as well.

One of the functions of the outer teacher is to help orient you to the inner teacher by either confirming or questioning what you feel to be the inner teacher. Listening to your own deepest wisdom is the inner teacher. And learning what is and isn’t wise through trial and error is how you more precisely hone in on the authentic inner teacher.

It is a delicate and uncertain path to discover what is wise within you.

But it is essential.”

How beautiful !!! This inner knowing - this priceless, ultimate teacher and guide.

The love of truth will carry us all the way !!

It has been an absolute joy to be with you in this discovery Hannes.

With love
