Yes, being aware is here. This presence is here but it is not you as you think you are, not a separate self, not a person, not Sylvia. It is not about freeing yourself from the burden of life, it is about freeing life from yourself. There is no wrong or right life. Life is what it is. Wrong is a spoken thought when our expectations are not met in experience. Know that expectations are also thoughts. Do you see how a construct of thoughts triggers judgment of wrong and right?I can only notice two thoughts: one that doesn't think it's possible (I'M HERE..!) the other is of relief.. if it were ever true I would free myself from the burden of a wrong life
yes, there is awareness of anger, of life happening, of a storm, ... What is this "I" which knows, smiles, expects, is aware, is hoping and which has no intuitions. Look deeply at this "I". Is it a sensation, a smell, a taste, a sound, a color or is it jut a thought?this morning I went back to the woods with the dogs and my mother.. we argued, no fusion with nature, just a lot of anger! I know that life happens and this event almost made me smile.. I expected peace and a storm manifested itself.
I also know that I was simply aware of a different scenario than what I was hoping for, but for now I have no intuitions
Is a sensation aware?
Is a smell being angry?
is a taste smiling?
Is a sound hoping?
Is a thought expecting?
There is no "I", no you, no separate self in any shape or form. Look deeply at each question and give answers through direct experience. Be in the silence of the mind and this silence, this aware presence is the answer. Can a seeker be found outside of thought?
Rest in that silence now.
Not to understand, but to be.
No answer comes, and none is needed—
for the one who questioned was never truly there.
