Hi Jomarie,
Thanks for your answers. I'm going to invite the other guides to take a look at our conversation. They may have further useful questions. I'll let you know. It may take a day or two for them to respond, so check back.
Best wishes,
Jon.
Truth for All
Re: Truth for All
Hi Jomarie,
We had a quick response from guides! There are one or two questions actually, or, more specifically, there is one area to look at and it relates to this question:
Is 'choosing' to turn right or left going on, or does this flow? Was that 'you' that 'decided' to deploy the indicator at the same time? Did 'you' 'decide' to find your car keys before all this? How did that work? Is somebody constanty pulling strings, making things happen?
It's better to take a look at this sort of example whilst it is happening, to see what goes on, than to hypothesize from what is remembered, so feel free to explore this, or other examples of 'decision making' and get back to me.
Best wishes,
Jon

In the example of driving here there is an unexpected left turn, which is a surprise. But what about the kind of journey where nothing particularly unexpected happens? Are a multitude of technical decisions being made by you as the journey happens, or does the driving happen by its self? (Don't take hands off the wheel for this!! :-))Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Give examples from your experience.
The answer is no with a come back of the ‘I’ claiming ownership here and there ;) In my experience, even though there is planning sometimes, I can never know what is going to happen or not. A simple example is when I am driving my car from point A to B, at times I notice that I may think that I am going to turn right and the whole thing ends up turning left without me. It is a surprising event! ☺. And sometimes frustrating if it does not go as planned.

Re: Truth for All
Hello again,
I remember being a kid and playing with taking my hands off the bike handles ☺.
No. It just happens.
Hum…good one…no ‘I’ could not have. It just happens like the rest.
Thanks Jon,
Jomarie
:) Well, I think that it may appear as if there is a ‘me’ making decisions but deep down I know it is not true. The driving happens by itself just like brushing our teeth or our heart beating or our lungs breathing all by itself, even when we sleep at night. Like everything is on autopilot. But there is no ‘pilot’.But what about the kind of journey where nothing particularly unexpected happens? It flows yes, like a river with no beginning and no end.Is 'choosing' to turn right or left going on, or does this flow?
Was that 'you' that 'decided' to deploy the indicator at the same time?

God... I have no idea. How did that work?
No, there is no body. The body is ‘bodying’ like Life is ‘Lifeing’.Is somebody constantly pulling strings, making things happen?
Thanks Jon,
Jomarie

Hi Jomarie,
Thank you for responding to those last questions of mine. It's all looking good.
The other guides have no more questions either.
Congratulations Jomarie! Well done. Seeing no self is just the begining in many respects. Many people find the insight deepens and that many previously held beliefs begin to fall away, not just the belief in a seprate self.
Our conversation here is at an end but there is quite a lively community of others who have gone through the galteless gate and you'll now gain access to that. I'll explain what's available by sending a private message to you (you'll be able to see when I do becasue it'll be indicated at the top of the page near where it says ' board index The Gate.. and you'll see it will say '(1 new message)'.
It has been a great pleasure to guide you. Thank you very much for staying the course.
Very best wishes to you,
Jon
