Are you really in control of the actions you experience?
No, this morning, I was playing with a stick and Jack, my dog, would run, look, jump, and while I was observing, I thought he is just going with the flow of life, he is not directing, anything, all is automatic, like us.
Do 'you' send messages to your muscles telling them to operate?
No, I was stuck at this one thinking that it was my decision, always thinking that the FIRST decision was up to me and then the body takes over, but that is also a thought, where did that first decision came from? From air, from nothing.
To you eyes telling them to see?
They just see.
To your brain telling it to understand?
Automatic, not me or not me, involved.
Do you tell the wind to blow or the sun to shine?
Nada.
Aren't these happening all by themselves, without a story of 'you' required to make them happen?
Yes, the you, my I, is a creation, kind of like a frame, of raw energy.
Have you been able to find, a ‘self’ that is the ‘experiencer’?
No, I haven´t, when I go and search for the I, its when I understand, that is an invention of stories and assumptions.
Or a self that is the doer, or can control what happens?
Can´t control it.
Or a self that ‘makes’ decisions?
Decisions happen, before the I thinks they do.
Or a self who ‘does the thinking’?
Involuntary, sometimes, you think… Why did I think that? Where did that come from.
Is the "body" just another thought label for sensations (namely tactile & kinesthetic)?
Yes, I believe, the concept is that, to understand, this machine that operates.
Are the five body senses made to arise or experienced by this ‘self’?
No, just pure senses, that get tormented because of the stories we have fabricated.
Is there a self ‘in here’ which is separate from the world and others ‘out there’?
No selfs, same thing.
Is there doubt or unclarity that in all these cases the ‘self’ is nothing other than a mental fabrication?
No, for some reason when I think about this question, my memory goes, to the image of a new born, and those first years, when you look at them, they are just sensing, experiencing, feeling, all through DE, then we grow, and we fill ourselves with stories of who we are and who are we supposed to be.
And finally:
Are there any doubts about seeing through the illusion of separate self?
Not at this time, I just heard this song, and I can´t stop listening to it, hope you like it.
