Also want to mention that we all have a 'sense' of self. To function in the world. It doesn't point to anything real. This sense remains in a way, but after seeing through the illusion of self, we see that it is just a sense, a feeling.

Ok read what you posted while I was writing..

Yes there are paradoxes. But please, let's not try to conceptialize what and where the past and future are, whether existing in the present or not. That's more thinking. leave it for now after checking if they (past and future) exist without thinking about them. What's left? Just the now, just life happening now. Anything more is more conceptualizing (is that a word?). We'll leave that for the moment and focus on finding the 'i' if it exists.

Hi,
Let me recap. "How is a decision made?"
Let me know if you catch "you" making a decision\action.
"Focus on finding the "I" if it exists".

Great questions, directions. You are very kind and generous.

Still looking for an "I", feels like there is me but location "where" is problamatic.

Off a bit early today. Will be changing my modem and upgrading service from
my ISP. I don't anticipate any problems but if there is a service disrupt I will find some way to stay in contact.
I really am enjoying this time. I'm not where I want to go yet but at least I now believe I'll get there.
Thanks so much for your help and your posts.

Thank YOU very much. It is indeed a pleasure to do this walk with you. :)

I didnt receive any notification today for your post, so I'm glad I checked.

Don't forget to look at where the pointers are pointing, and answer. It might be helpful to read my post (12th) a few posts up, written at 4:40, about "I" thoughts, before answering. Might help you look, instead of thinking for the answer.

Remember, the feeling of sense can remain. It stays. But there's nothing behind this feeling. No one home.

Looking forward to reading your next.

Hi,
Sorry I'm not sure which post you are refering to.
I do focus now mostly on "I" and what is fact there.
Middle of winter here, might as well be June.
Another day in paradise.

Sorry, my bad, I had the time written wrong. I"m copying below, with some additions:
If I tell you to raise your right hand and you do not do that, what is happening? Look for yourself. Is it not thoughts, appearing one after another, plus signals from the mind to body. Then an "I" thought claiming the 'decision'. Thought might come, yes or no. Then a thought, won't do it. Signal won't go to the arm and hand.
Then thought, see I didn't dO it, so I exist. Different thoughts, different mind processes, different signals to the body.

1. Really look at body actions during the day. When you are walking, is a you controlling every action? How much is done automatically, and what's done as a part of brain processing, and where the I thought comes in. How is a decision made. Look at that.

2. Do animals have little selfs controlling them?

3. Awareness is. Do we need to cut it off from the rest and keep a small part inside our heads? What for? Can you feel it is separate from life if you don't think about separation
Can you write your observations on the points above? Write in as much detail as you like, answering each point. Making sure to LOOK, not think.

Tell me more about paradise :).

And finally, I"m repeating this as its important:
"Remember, the feeling of sense can remain. It stays. But there's nothing behind this feeling. No one home."

I see where choice is a thought. But before choosing it seems that "I" choose which thought, a yes or no.

Tell me more about paradise.
Yesterday I fell asleep early and woke around 2 am. I went outside in my T shirt and shorts sat in my chair and basked in the moonshine and counted the stars. Every one I love is well. Seems like a paradise to me.

Very glad about paradise :)
I see where choice is a thought. But before choosing it seems that "I" choose which thought, a yes or no.
Just to see whether "I" is choosing, or the brains doing its processing, here's a video to watch:
http://markedeternal.blogspot.com/2011/01/judge.html

No "I", just another thought of "I am choosing". Maybe hard to believe, but simple to see when you really LOOK.

I do hope to more detailed writing from you, that you're still looking.

Good vidieo, not sure what to make of it. I have had experiance with doings that were not conciously choosen yet were better than what I was aware of at the moment. I am still looking. My experiance seems to be "I'm just here".
I do what seems to be appropriate. When I have conversations I tend to focus and forget to keep looking. But for quiet a bit of the time I am walking\acting\doing as if I were dreaming and aware of it. Nothing seems different.
All seems neutral. Another beautiful summers day here in the middle of winter.

Mark, you need to FOCUS and answer my questions.

Please read a question, then look at direct experience and answer each one. It's not something you need to do the whole day.

Thanks.
