Thank you so much for all this. I know its odd trying to provide practical examples of how things happen so as to show that they don't happen the way that is commonly assumed . But I love what you've written.

Just a couple of questions.

Could you say a little more about this collective consciousness please? I'd notice you mentioned it before and I'm interested.

Thoughts often appear in relation to events that happen , can be about how things happen, about "who does what". But do thoughts make things happen?

I’ve been sitting with your question and this is what has come to me so I shall send as it came

Do thoughts make things happen?

All “things” start with thought - an idea or concept before they are put into action

But what puts things or ideas/thoughts into action?
What makes things happen? And how?

I don’t know

If “I” sit on my sofa and say (think) to myself I am not going to do anything - “some-thing” will make me get up - to use the bathroom, to attend to the children, to clean or to cook, assumed external things will present for me to deal with - experiences I guess we can say as a blanket expression - phone calls, visitors, work etc

Leads me to think that…

Other things - events or rather experiences make things happen..
Cause and effect
Chain reaction
- but then what makes those other things happen - what came first the chicken or the egg?
-
I can only work with (do/interact) what I am presented with - What I am aware of ?- how am I, or do I become aware of something?
- It just happens, it appears

I (or life) has learnt from past experience what outcomes of doing or not doing will lead to (trial and error) so perhaps it is that which makes us do things -
Life (consciousness?)

Talking from the “I” perspective,
ultimately we can run through scenarios in thought as to what we perceive to be the best cause of action (or inaction) this can only be based on our life experience to date and is so limited, consciousness chooses for us based on what it’s learnt so far - but then I’m stopped by the thought surely that would only apply to this body - this consciousness - my consciousness - my life and that doesn’t feel right

- Because as I’ve seen there is no separate self, so what is interacting with what?

Strip everything back and awareness is always there - previous to the experience…
If I’m not aware of something or someone or some event then it’s not real for “me” - at my point of being
Even when reading about something (I.e news) I still don’t know directly that it is true - I only know it to be true that I am reading about something that someone else said / wrote that so called happened

The only thing I know to be true is direct experience in the present moment -
It feels like I am part of a movie or a dream
Like I am awareness - Witnessing
Like we are all having this experience as individual (making up one) viewpoints in awareness (consciousness)

These viewpoints come together when we collaborate to build, create destroy or “make things happen” - I think this is what I mean by collective consciousness
