.........would *Body-Mind-mechanism" be a better word for a "location", where-in it all happens?geoge

none of it is percieved. Can it be known how tall the body is?
Does the body have a weight or volume?
In the actual experience does the body have a shape or a form?
no boundary, just pressure or touch-sensationIs there a boundary between the body and the clothing?
Is there a boundary between the body and the chair?
cannot feel inside/outsideIs there an inside or an outside?
If there is an inside - the inside of what exactly?
If there is an outside - the outside of what exactly?
What does the word/label ‘body’ ACTUALLY refer to?
What is the ACTUAL experience of the body?
You mean the content of thought that is labeled "organism," which cannot be found in Actual Direct Experience?to
the sensing organism
interacting organism
orientation organism in space
Right, the body does not experience. It can't even be found in DE, just like the "apple" earlier.hearing-tasting-touching-seeing-feeling: taking in sensations -
(the "bodys experience" - body does not experience, but thats one way to understand the "actual experience of the body"
Exactly, There is a pointer called, "Where Is I?" that explores exactly that in my friend's recordings in the Dropbox.or
"my experience" of the body: fluid, no boundry.....no definition
YES! How does it feel to see this?I am swimming in the ocean - all moving is automatic - independent of "me swimming" and no boundary felt.....surprise...
no, I ment the physical body without "an occupant" (a "me")- the direct experience of it through seeing (?) F.e. I/body moves through a crowd without bumping into anything/anybody - automatic - cannot that be an experience? (I think I failed you here!)You mean the content of thought that is labeled "organism," which cannot be found in Actual Direct Experience?
matter of fact - thats how it is.I am swimming in the ocean - all moving is automatic - independent of "me swimming" and no boundary felt.....surprise...
YES! How does it feel to see this?
You're losing me with these rabbit trails into hypotheticals.
You mean the content of thought that is labeled "organism," which cannot be found in Actual Direct Experience?

not a mystical thing, just body moving (safly through a crowd or swimming) without a "me" doing/directing it: I can see it/sense it....Where us this mythical "body without an occupant" in Actual Experience?
sensations can be percieved but not "exclusively", all (sensations) come in together - choosing one (f.e. hearing) would be babbling..Can you attend to sensation exclusively?
Not minding thought babbling about this and that?
Not minding thought labelling sensation for a bit?
no, sensation is not telling a story only percieving, not translating (f.e. "pressure")Thought may tell: "I am lying here" or "My body is lying here" or "A body is lying here". But could this be known from pure sensation?
see July 11th - no way to tell....Can be known how tall the body is?
Does the body have a specific size, shape or weight?
How many toes are there?
First, MYTHICAL, made up, not "mystical."Where us this mythical "body without an occupant" in Actual Experience?
not a mystical thing, just body moving (safly through a crowd or swimming) without a "me" doing/directing it: I can see it/sense it....
for "my own body": I cannot find a body through DE with sensing/feeling, only sense-impressions - but some object, some thing, when seen in a mirror. Is seeing a reflection in the mirror a DE? (without naming it)Can you find a "body" in AE? Look carefully.
You tell me - what is seen in DE in the mirror?but some object, some thing, when seen in a mirror. Is seeing a reflection in the mirror a DE? (without naming it)
Did that answer your question?but some object, some thing, when seen in a mirror. Is seeing a reflection in the mirror a DE? (without naming it)
There are dozens of pointers in that book, but for now, the first chapter is the main thing. He explains very well how we have to get around the mind, ignore thinking, in order to see no self. It is like a quote from one of the Zen teachers:https://www.audible.com/pd/B07GWZ2GR1?s ... 021921000R
oh, I brought in the "object" - whats happening in DE is just seeing ....So, what is SEEN in Direct Experience in the mirror?
