Re: Unquestionable new perception, freedom
Hi Jon,
Thanks for you attentiveness.
No, only the illusion of self.
If it's not a self that appears there is no resistence. It's empty. It's not habitual but yes, sometimes.
Yes, there's the idea that others selves makes resistence happening.
Thank you Jon.

Hi Osnofa
Even when there's resistance, is there 'a person', 'me', 'resisting'? Is there a 'me' that must avoid resistance or somehow 'rise above' it?
You're doing well Qsnofa,
Jon
Here I am quoting what I said before.. First I have to say that it is good to notice this. It is something to look at. It is an example of the illusion presenting its self in the form of a 'me and them'. In the form of a thought and I'm guessing, sensations and thoughts of resistance?
'Sometimes' gives an opportunity to notice how the illusion of a 'me' appears, is believed in for a, while and then disappears. Its important to not deny a feeling of resistance or thoughts about 'me' and 'others' if resistance is felt.. If it's not a self that appears there is no resistence. It's empty. It's not habitual but yes, sometimes.

Re: Unquestionable new perception, freedom
There's no in here or out there. There is me as no one and life is just happening. What a relief.
Thank you Jon.
Thank you Jon.

Seeing through this mechanism, family, is very awkward.
Thank you Jon.

Hi Jon,
Contradictory wants between my wife, sons and l, even that l'm aware of no self, conflict an no harmony appear around me. And since l don't exist there is nothing l can do. Is this true?

Re: Unquestionable new perception, freedom
Just let it happen without interfere. It's just life expressing. Just look.
Re: Unquestionable new perception, freedom
Hi Osnofa
But an expectation of harmony must be questioned. What if that "harmony" is an idea about "how things should be" that won't match what's actually going on?
What if it's nobody's fault about this conflict of interests?
What is it that reasons "I don't exist"?
What "I" is it that can "do nothing"?
Hug,
Jon
Yes, I recognise this from my own experience. (Wife and two sons). Close family may have no interest or even feel threatened by no self.. Contradictory wants between my wife, sons and l, even that l'm aware of no self, conflict an no harmony appear around me

I would not be in a hurry to adopt such a philosophy. There are spiritual teachers whose words might seem suggest this but I query this conclusion.. And since l don't exist there is nothing l can do. Is this true?

Yes. Is just a illusion of perfect harmony that will never gonna happen. I feel what you wrote about no self.
That l is just an idea. And l have also life through myself
as an expression itself that thinks and do.
Thank you Jon.

Thank you Jon.

Re: Unquestionable new perception, freedom
Hi Osnofa,
It's not easy. Anxiety is unpleasant and seeing that there is no self may not address it at all. Maybe sometimes it can help and maybe other times anxiety can seem worse. There's no way to predict. I do various things to feel better ike exercise and breathing technique and walking my dog. It helps quite a bit. To be honest I have discovered many things that help. Therapy can be useful but it costs of course.
But there, are times when it's seen clearly that periods of anxiety and depression happen due to a belief that there is a 'me' that 'cannot change', 'cannot escape' and so on. Suddenly its recognised as thought-story. There is no one 'trapped' or 'fixed'. Only thoughts and sensations.
Does this make sense to you?
Jon
Yes. Who or what thinks/feels 'How will I survive"?. The thought that threat me is: how l will survive this day. And it appears every day.
