4) Was there something you looked into or something I may have mentioned that made you fully realise - Was there a moment where you 'tipped over' into realising 'no self'?
It was more of a "sinking into" than a specific moment.
5) Describe decision, intention, free will, choice and control as you understand it now. What makes things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Please give examples from experience if you can.
Decision, intention, free will, choice and control are concepts that arise out of the false idea that there is a separate self who is able to exert these things. In actuality, there is no separate entity. All is simply happening. There is no separate agent "making" it happen. There is just the movement of life; nature mysteriously unfolding. There is no "responsibility". Agreements will be met/unmet, actions taken, responses given to situations, all naturally arising without an "I" who is responsible for them.
On the level of circumstance, there are many unknowns. There's an impulse to leave the work I've been doing which means potentially heading home overseas and leaving my current partner. There's no sense of what I would do next, but there's an ease, a contentment, a relaxation in knowing life will unfold as it will; that conversations will happen, plane tickets may be booked, and there's no "I" responsible for or who can "make the right decision" or "control" the outcome. Story, fearful thoughts or commentary arise and they are seen as just arising, part of the unfolding but there's no agency in them. It feels light and free and there's a joy in the mystery.
A few days ago there was a sense of depression. It was just arising. It was seen it didn't "belong" to an "I", there was no "self" who created it and there was no sense of needing to "fix" it. It passed a few hours later. It affirmed the ease, spontaneity and naturalness of life life-ing. What is seen, what is heard, what is felt, all just arising in current experience without an "owner" or a "doer". In the past there would've been a judgement that "it shouldn't be there" and an attempt to "shift" it; a sense of ownership that "I made it shift" or that "I can't shift it". But all of this is commentary and labelling on what is already happening- what is just arising and what equally just dissipates.
