What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you look?
Think it was the exercise of looking in the mirror that made me really look, there seemed to be a very strong identification with the body, and really looking and looking and feeling the emotions and watching their being labelled as mine and noticing the stories too – that led to a big erosion!
Describe decision, intention, free will, control. What makes these things happen? How does it work? What are you responsible for? Give examples from experience
Decisions seem to flow through you, then there might be some mental commentary following a decision. There is no free will! So control, again there may be a mental commentary accompanying action but no real control.
What makes things happen? It all seems a bit mysterious! Can be seen like a computer running various programs that have been picked up like ‘reading’, ‘driving’ ‘character development’ ‘ etc. So seems that there is no responsibility in the conventional sense, but feels like there is more ability to respond appropriately to circumstances as they arise and, therefore an opportunity to be more responsive
Take another look. Is it accurate to say that the body experiences, yet there is no experiencer of life can you clarify?
Hmm, ok can see that the sense of experiencing things through the body is just an idea and that when I look can see it is more accurate to say that the body is experienced, or just that there is experience of sensations, with eyes closed the body becomes a concept, a thought, and there is just the experience of sensations
What is the label body attempting to describe that is going on right now?
The label body is just a thought /idea. Right now there is sensations of typing and other sensations of breeze on my skin of sensations in back, and tummy etc, when 'I' look down 'I' see ‘my’ body, but all a flux of sensations that are being experienced as they arise.
Anything to add?
Can’t think of anything right now
