Thanks John.
Thank you for answering these extra questions, which are quite important because they represent the collective input and experience of other ecperienced guides. There are a couple more that I need to ask these are:
"We all go about our daily lives believing that we have an essential self. A part of us that is at the very core of who we are. That is in control of what we do and can alter the future course of events. No such self exists."
When you say 'at the very core of who we are' what do you mean? Describe the 'core of who we are'. Also, what do you mean when you say 'we all go about our daily lives believing that we have an essential self'?
Jonathan.

Morning Jonathan.
"We all go about our daily lives believing that we have an essential self. A part of us that is at the very core of who we are. That is in control of what we do and can alter the future course of events. No such self exists."

Here I'm describing the illusion of self that needs to be seen through. So when you ask your questions I assume that you are asking about the nature of the illusion? I cannot answer these questions by looking, only by speculation and conceptualisation, as I'm trying to describe something that does not exist. Before I go any further, have I understood your question correctly?

Ok, it may just be simpler to ask, is 'the very core of who we are' some sort of experience?
Also, though there is no 'self' where are 'we' in relation to the body?

I had misunderstood, thanks.
There is no me, therefore there is nothing to have a core. There are just sensations and thoughts.
There is no me to be in relation to the body. There experiences of the body (e.g. seeing it and feeling it) and thoughts about the body.

Hello John,
A quick message
Thank you for answering the extra questions which seem nice and clear. Now that several guides have taken a look at our conversation we all agree that you have 'passed through' the gateless gate! Congratulations! Thank you for 'staying the course'
There is more, but I will post this to you later today.
Best wishes,
Jonathan.

Hi again John,
You are now welcome to join the LU Facebook groups if you wish? You will be added to 'New Arrivals' and 'Unleashed' groups initially and you will be able to request to join other LU groups (that may be of interest) from there.
If you already use Facebook send me your Facebook name and I'll sort this out for you. If not and you wish to access these groups you'll need to create a new Facebook account and then let me know your Facebook name. PM me your Facebook name if you wish. (It may take me a day or two to make these things happen :-)
