Hi Mika,
Yes,when I's doing the "looking exercise" with the laptop, I've seen through the illusion. There was no separation.
I suppose it's good to be aware how to look.

Re: A guide would be appreciated!
Mike, question.
There was a direct experience of that there is no choice by the "I".there is just a thought.(red light story).
Question:
Where the thoughts are coming from? They seem to me visitors. Sometimes they create the right things-not crossing the red light in danger, sometimes the wrong things-crossing the red light in danger.
Look forward to your answer.
Thank you.

Hi Mira,
Yes quite right, a name is just another label :-)
The only thing that remains for me to ask, are a number of questions which I would like you to answer in your own time and your own way, maybe one per day, or all at once if you feel so inspired. Answer ONLY from your own experience, and from what's happening HERE and NOW. There are no trick questions here, so just respond plainly and simply -
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of a separate self is, and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
4) How would you describe it to somebody who has never heard about this illusion but is curious about it.
5) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you see?
6) Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Give examples from your experience.
7) Anything to add?
Mike :-)

Re: A guide would be appreciated!
Hi Mira,
eg: You arrive at a junction on your bike which triggers thought proliferation, which will bring up past stories of this same or similar situations, the 'choice' is made based on all the conditions you can trace and probably many that you cannot. The 'choice' just happens based on conditions. But it's important to realise that making logical sense of this is thoughts and ideas coming to a thought and idea based answer (logic).
If perhaps on one occasion, you are in a hurry, or there's a lot on your mind, this would be conditions which might tip the perceived 'choice' to carrying on through the red light.
Beliefs and ideas are essentially groups of thoughts, of course, knowing the difference between reality and non reality sets NEW conditions based on Reality rather than illusion/delusion. Seeing reality, is a condition which will begin to effect many other beliefs if they are based on delusion, however any beliefs based on reality will remain unchanged.
Does this answer your question Mira? If not, there may be a better way to communicate it.
Mike :-)
The thought content that arises, and what the content is, given the situation - can ultimately only be a thought conundrum. To speculate, it would seem quite logical that thoughts arise due to conditions. There was a direct experience of that there is no choice by the "I". there is just a thought.(red light story).
Question:
Where the thoughts are coming from? They seem to me visitors. Sometimes they create the right things-not crossing the red light in danger, sometimes the wrong things-crossing the red light in danger.

Re: A guide would be appreciated!
Hi Mike,
Very good questions, thank you.
1) Is there a separate entity 'self', 'me' 'I', at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever?
According to my experience, not the intellect, no and there never was.
2) Explain in detail what the illusion of a separate self is, and how it works from your own experience. Describe it fully as you see it now.
The illusion of separate self is a “prison”. Being an outsider all the time. But now, as “I” experienced 3 different things ( things happens externally, internally(mind) , in being in it - merging)”I” can see that there is a “choice” to make. How to look!!! This is important. The awareness of the “look”. I understand that through the experience that choice doesn’t exist. The mind creates it. As there were 3 experiences in this case the mind will remember and will “choose” the “chosen one” what had the most impact on the “I”.
Sorry, I know you asked me to be picky with the words, but it’s a bit difficult to put these things in words.
3) How does it feel to see this? What is the difference from before you started this dialogue? Please report from the past few days.
e.g. the other day I was walking on the street and there was an argument between 2 people. There were strangers and they just started insulting each other. It made me laugh.
So, I don’t take things seriously, obviously depending on the “look”. So I believe through awareness it can become a state, a flow. And this is liberation. Just be. No worries about anything.
4) How would you describe it to somebody who has never heard about this illusion but is curious about it.
The illusion of separate self is the “I”, “me” separated from everything. It thinks that it’s special, unique. Always want to achieve, achieve, achieve....never ending achievement and nothing is ever good enough for long time. It gets easily frustrated, sad, unhappy when things don’t go how they pleases the “I” and gets happy when things are going well.
So, the “I” the separateness is a prison. “I” locked away from everything what is “offered”.
5) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you see?
The 3 experiences – outside, inside, IN - merging
6) Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Give examples from your experience.
I thought in the past I used to. But now as I could see that I can’t catch the moment of the “choice”....hm... well, I don’t choose, I don’t decide, I don’t control...
7) Anything to add?
According to these experiences everything is a joke. The joke of the "life". It's like the musk trying to find out where the most delicious, the most sophisticated fragrance come from. The humans are not better. Seeking, seeking, seeking externally. never ending big time "joke" because there is nothing to seek.
Thank you Mike,
Mira:)

There may be a few more questions as guides take a look but it would be great if you can respond to the above

Are you able to give a little more detail and perhaps some examples of this.5) What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you see?

If you experience that these are expectations, if the contrary of what you are saying here happens (examples: thoughts about being out of the flow or any resistances, doubts or worries) can this seeing of no-self be lost?In Q3 you said that "So I believe through awareness it can become a state, a flow. And this is liberation. Just be. No worries about anything."

Hi Mike and The Fellow Guide,
1." What was the last bit that pushed you over, made you see?
The 3 experiences – outside, inside, IN - merging"
I was referring to the below experiences:
a.
listening - birds, airplain, cars...again things are happening around "Mira" - option 2 - t happens externally outside of the mind of 'Mira' - dualism
b.
The sound happens in the mind. - option 1 -" It happens in the mind of 'Mira'. - dualism
c.
"I'm really, truly looking at the laptop while I'm writing without labelling it. Stop writing and looking. hm.... can't see any separation" - option 3 - non-dualism.
Mike, I assume you know what I was talking about. :)
2.
"So I believe through awareness it can become a state, a flow. And this is liberation. Just be. No worries about anything."
What I meant, to see the truth "we, people" have to "look". The above exercise makes it clear. out, in, "IN".
When we "look" "IN", then that's a liberation. What I mean under liberation - there is no "I"
sorry, can't explain this on the language what you use.
Let me know if this was clear or not.
Mira:)

I don't experience that they are expectations. Expectations of what?!?!?!
But lets say, if..... how can a no-self be lost?
Didn't understand your question.

Thanks Mira,
I'll let my fellow guide take a look at your answers :-) This part of the process is really about making sure you've been guided correctly and not been left with any confusion.

Hi Mira,
Apologies, one of the questions from a fellow guide was for a different question, but think I presented that question incorrectly oops! He is happy with your reply given to the question given earlier.
Do you decide, intend, choose, control events in Life? Do you make anything happen? Give examples from your experience
Please give examples
Thanks
Mike :-)

Re: A guide would be appreciated!
Hi Mike,
no problem.:))))
oups, yes, forgot to write the examples down. So, here they are.
I can't choose/decide when I wake up, when I get hungry...they just happen.
E.g.
a. This morning I didn't feel like getting up at 7.30AM. So I stayed in bed. After x amount of time I got up. There was a thought "saying" get up &I got up. Was thinking about this afterwards. Did I choose or is it just happened? As I couldn't see the point when it happened in the mind, so it just happened.
b.
I started reading an article today and I became very interested in the subject. Who became interested in the subject? Again,it just happen. When it happened? Again, I couldn't see that point in the mind.

Hi Mira :-)
Just to keep you updated, the guide who posed the above questions is happy with your responses and has no further questions. I'm still waiting for another two guides to take a look (three other guides normally take a quick look to make sure I've not missed anything during the guiding process). Hope to get back to you again shortly.
Love
Mike :-)
