Re: Greetings!
I'm writing on the phone plus there is a problem with the quote function at the moment, at least on my phone, so sorry for the inconveniences re copy paste, spelling etc.
....
I've realized that I feel at home with memory and I feel uncomfortable with actuality.
Is this because actuality feels more risky? Probably.
My "real" (deep) relationship with actuality and memory is far more complicated than I thought.
I feel that reality is fearsome (evil?!). And memory is secure (good?:)
So probably there might be some resistance to seeing that DE is real and memory is unreal.
Just trying to see what is really going on here. What stops me
from seeing etc.

Re: Greetings!
I'm fearful of seeing Reality.
Turn iit around!
I'm fearful of seeing my Thinking about Reality.
I think this is more relevant and true.
It's not necessarily reality but my thinking about reality that I"m fearful of.
....
This is a radical realization for me.

Re: Greetings!
But is there an experience of the ’now’ moving along the line of time?
No.
Any experience of one ‘moment’ giving way to the next?
No.
Is there any actual or direct experience of one event following another?
An event is what the mind “defines” as an “event”. Events happen and follow each other only in the mind, not in the direct experience.
How fast is the ‘present moment’ actually moving?
It’s the mind moving fast.
Just look at 'this moment', can you find a point where it began?
No.
How long does the ‘now’ last?
Now does not last, thoughts about it last for fraction of seconds.
Where does the ‘now’ start, and where does it end?
No beginning no end. Yet thoughts about now have a beginning and an end.
When does the ‘now’ exactly become the 'past'?
When we think about it.
What is the ‘past’ in actual experience?
The fact of THOUGHT (about past) ARISING.
So is there actual experience of ‘time’ or only thoughts about ‘time’?
No actual experience. Just thoughts about time.

I listened to "Perceiving Receiving" on dropbox.
I feel the Perceiving more closely as I focus on DE.

Re: Greetings!
Okay, as promised:
Memory Exercise
Almost everybody believes that a memory thought is referring to something that has happened. That a memory thought is a different thought than a non-memory thought.
Please don’t go to thought explanations, but just let a memory be there, and look at it.
Look at what is actually going on and not what thoughts say - but what actually is.
What is memory exactly?
What is the memory ‘made of’?
WHEN does the memory appear?
What is the exact difference between a ‘general’ thought and a ‘memory’ thought?
How is it known EXACTLY that a ‘memory’ thought refers to something that has happened?
Then, look at a thought about the future.
What is the future thought ‘made of’?
WHEN does the future thought appear?
What is the exact difference between a ‘general’ thought and a ‘future’ thought?
How is it known EXACTLY that a ‘future’ thought refers to something that will happen?
Then let’s compare a thought about past and a thought about the future.
What is the EXACT difference between the thoughts about past and future?
If there is difference and how is that difference is known exactly?
Loving,

.....
Anyway I'll not give up and look as closely as possible.

Re: Greetings!
Hi Stacy,
Today I listened to Release - Receive on dropbox.
I feel it. Releasing.
First the mind releases "it" and then the body, and as we release we receive space (spaciousness).
Nowadays I think much less than usual.
I've released most of the left brain habits.
Instead there is more peace and space.
I'll continue Releasing the things that I still hold on to.
Love
Ico

Re: Greetings!
Good afternoon, Ico,
Can you find any separate "self" anywhere in Direct Experience? Or was it only a thought you believed?
Loving,
You will be doing that for many, many years, possibly the rest of your life.Instead there is more peace and space.
I'll continue Releasing the things that I still hold on to.

I'd say it's a thought-based experience.

Re: Greetings!
I actually do not know "what" I am supposed to see or feel exactly. There is nothing dramatic going on here, so I assume that I do not see or feel what you are talking about.
....
Well although I don't"t know what it is exactly, it seems I'll know it when I see.
I wish good luck to myself! :)
