Just LOOK. SEE what is true with your EYES.

Do not bother thinking about it. There are no answers in thinking!

Remember, if you are already seeing - even if it's only brief and even if it's only sometimes - you're finished here. We cannot guarantee 100% constant seeing. It doesn't work that way.

If that is the case, what will happen is we will guide and guide and guide and never get anywhere, because we're done.

How does it FEEL to see this?

Relaxing.

I have some recordings of some pointers in my DropBox. If you'll PM me an email address, I'll share those.

OK, I’m sending you a PM.

Explore ‘Sense of Self’

Let’s say that you have lost your keys and you swear that you left them in your coat. You go to look and check all the pockets - the keys are not there. You swear they must be as that was the last place you remember them. You have a vivid memory of putting them there after you left the house. But when you check they are not there. At this point you can keep believing that the keys are in your pocket, or you can admit you were mistaken.

This is just like that. You may see clearly that the self is an illusion but still feel a sense of self - just like the keys. But feeling something to be true and seeing that it is or is not is different. This is why we may find ourselves coming back to your expectations at the start and at the end.

Now, I’d like to ask you to explore this SENSE of self very-very thoroughly. Not by thinking about it, but by FEELING it. Keep the focus of attention on the sense of self and inquire:

Does the sense of self have a location?

It might have a location in the brain? This is probably an “idea”. I don’t know.

Does the sense of self have a shape or a size?

It doesn’t.

Does the sense of self say or communicate anything?

I don’t know.

Does the sense of self have any characteristics or attributes?

It is self-referential.

What is the sense of self ‘made of’? An image? Sound? Taste? Smell? Sensation? Thought?

An image-thought.

What is found?

The self is a feeling created by a specific thought-image.

You don't have to do them again, but LOOK. What do they point to? [/color]

They point to the conceptual nature of the self.

I've listened to the first recording, "Introduction to IAM-Complete-CD.mp3".
I'll now listen to the second one, and practice whatever comes up in the recordings.

I've just listened to "All It Is - complete-CD-small.mp3".

In the recording everything that exists is defined as God.
Based on this definition whatever shows up is defined as God.

As a pantheist since 20, "this" is is my daily experience.
Especially in the last three months, everything looks "equal".
Categorically equal. Respect for all.
Some people have recently reported that they have observed some positive inner change in me re tolerance, listening to people, acceptance, realism etc.

Yet I need to acknowledge that I have deep problems with reconciling the so-called "evil" situations with divinity.

Hi,

.
Yes. "Others" may notice improved calm & equanimity.

Yet I need to acknowledge that I have deep problems with reconciling the so-called "evil" situations with divinity
"Deep" is just another thought story.

Don't confuse the relative with the absolute. In the absolute this so-called evil doesn't matter at all. But in the relative we tend to do something about it.

Another good example is that in the absolute there is no one to die. However, if we step out in front of a bus, we will die. We have to learn to live with paradox.

In the absolute this so-called evil doesn't matter at all.

Why?
How can the standards of the absolute and the relative be "different"?
Doesn't "ethics" apply to all?

Why?
We don't know why - about anything! It's a useless question.
How can the standards of the absolute and the relative be "different"?
We don't know how. Just like Palm Flipping & everything else, it's a Mystery.
Doesn't "ethics" apply to all?
Nope. This will be clearer to you when you SEE. Life is neutral & impartial. It just IS.

Don't take my word for it - LOOK. We made up human- centered "ethics." It's all JUST THOUGHTS.

If I recall correctly Byron Katie addresses some of this in "A Mind at Home With Itself." Alan Watts talks about it too.

He gets to this at 2:35.
