"Argue for your limitations & sure enough, they're yours."
Yes I agree.
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right.”
― Henry Ford
I don't want to argue for my limitations or for the existence of myself.
In fact I want to argue against them, but this "self", "my self" is currently persistent and great at creating doubt in my mind.
Open your mind. Show some curiosity about what we're talking about here.
I find this a downright annoying statement. What is an open mind?
I'm here, I'm following the instructions, I agree with what your saying.
So how can I open my mind any more?
As to curiosity -
Why is this so difficult?
How comes other people seem to get it and I don't?
What's their secret?
Why is this illusion so persistent and ubiquitous?
Surely the self must have some use?
It's frustrating never having knowingly met anyone who's had this shift.
Have you read any of "Gateless Gatecrashers?"
Am halfway through it.
There are exchanges of messages between a guide and a seeker.
Nothing seems profound, then at some point the seeker says, "got it".
There are even times when the seeker doesn't think they've got it but the guide does.
So I'm experiencing frustration, frustration, frustration.
For example - I'm repeatedly doing the butt/chair (sometimes the back/mattress) exercise.
Yes, I find this field of sensation and not a definite separation.
But when I'm standing, my butt is not in contact with the chair and when I sit down, there is contact.
So there is a point at which my butt contacts the chair, even though I am unable to delineate it.
Read to notice where each client had a shift & SAW. Write daily here what you are noticing.
I'll be here daily at least until the shift happens for me. I do wish that was today, but sadly it isn't.
Positives - I'm noticing that occasionally throughout the day, the thought appears 'focus on direct experiences.
Negatives - Feeling frustration at seeming zero progress.
🖖
